One of the best burritos I've had in a really long time. the carnitas was perfect; not too greasy, not too dry. The flavors were perfectly balanced and the sauce was super spicy and delicious. The only thing that could have been better is I wish I had more of the spicier sauce. but I actually really appreciated that the woman gave me a back up less spicy option just in case (so thoughtful!). Both of the sauces were delicious, anyway. 5 stars!
My partner and I have lived across the street for over a year now and passed this place a million times-- we regret not coming here sooner because the food was phenomenal!! Fantastic, authentic Mexican food. We got the asada and barbacoa burritos and both were stuffed with flavorful and high-quality ingredients. They were massive and roughly the size of newborns! The meat was so tender and delicious, but the tortillas actually stole the show and were the best I've ever had. To make it even better, the prices can't be beat. This spot could quite possibly be best, most authentic, and most affordable Mexican food in Portland. But of course, further research is required (in the form of getting tacos next time) before making such a bold statement. The only thing I wish was that they'd extend their hours; I know us nine-to-five folk would be there all the time if they weren't closed whenever we are off work and ready to eat! Regardless, I can't wait to try their tacos next time we have another weekday off!!
OMG so yummy! So far I've had only rice (addictive) and tacos... chicken, asada and carnitas and all were simply perfection! From the delicious food to the kind service and the incredibly affordable menu this is my new favorite taco truck! EDIT: I can't believe I forgot the corn tortillas... soft and thick double stacked to catch all the loveliness! EDIT again: Today I had the Asada burrito and my life is changed. Perfectly seasoned, big as a truck, a soft (but toasty?!) pillow of a tortilla. And for only $7??? My mouth and my wallet hasn't been this happy in a long time!!
I love this place! I lived in San Diego for a long time and I have had a hard time finding street tacos in Portland on par with Southern California. These are legit! It's also a family operation and they are really kind people.
Some of the best tasting carnitas tacos ive ever had in this city <3
Perfect for me, because I love to find the little hidden gem spots that are family operated, or tiny but rock solid menu. Exactly what I want when I need my chorizo breakfast burrito or classic street taco fix. Their avocado Verde sauce is just awesome, and I haven't seen it too any other places.
Delicious authentic tacos for only $2.50 😋 We will definitely be back for more.
This place rivals any tacos in town. The carnitas are the best. Do yourself a favor and eat these tacos.
