The absolute best tasting teriyaki lunch special in Portland.
I usually get the chicken bento because it is always fresh and the veggies are always cooked perfectly. The prices are reasonable so when I'm on that side of town and hungry for teriyaki Mashita is the place I go to.

Pretty good food and very fast.
Very small hole-in-the-wall place with just a few seats available, but don't let that stop you from getting your food to go!

Eat here if you like teriyaki! You pay for good quality food, not ambiance, and Mashita Teriyaki delivers! It gets busy at lunch because it is so good, not a negative! You know what kind of restaurants do not get busy? Bad ones! I just had lunch and I would still eat an order of the spicy chicken right now.
It looks like this place is going to be a real dive from the outside. But once on the inside it looks fairly nice though a little old. The menu is small and very basic but everything on the menu that we tried was really good. A great deal as well as fantastic food.
