2 thumbs up!! We had several small plates and everything was incredible, including the cocktails!! Highly recommend this place for some late night bites while in Portland!!
Been going to Boda for about a year now. I can't give it a high enough praise to do it justice. The food is amazing and the staff are always on point. Don't go to Portland without a visit to Boda!
Everything was wonderful. They were so busy we ate at the grill counter and that worked great. Pad Thai was like no other I've ever had. The glass noodles were infused with so much flavor. An appetizer fav were the portobello mushrooms and quail eggs.
Gourmet Thai food, nothing compares! My first experience was perfect. Lovely environment, delicious food, and excellent service. Thank you to our server Zakman and the rest of the staff. We will absolutely be returning.
BODA is my favorite restaurant in Portland. I have always had a wonderful dining experience there. The food has always been top notch and the service has been excellent. The pad thai in my opinion is the best in the city and the Yakowat..duck is my absolute favorite.
1 out of every 4 dollars I spend in a restaurant in Portland goes to Boda. I can't say enough positive stuff about this place. It's ridiculous to get rate an establishment on it's staff unless they own the place, BUT I'm in love with the staff at Boda. Almost entirely men, in the kitchen, behind the bar, and at the tables. Though it seems they have more assigned areas, bar and wait staff easily float between tasks and back each other up. It's seemless and much appreciated. They have a fabulous way to split the bill up, making everyone's life easier.
It's not possible to pick just one reason why I love Boda so much. Firstly I'm gluten intolerant - no problem here, the exciting and enticing menu clearly delineates the gluten free choices which are many, so rare in most restaurants.
Secondly I'm a newbie at cocktails and little timid about trying new drinks - these guys always make something fabulous, I've never been dissappointed. Portland, while I always prioritize beer, is really a cocktail city and Boda can hold it's own in a contest I'm sure.
Boda accommodates me when I show up on date night with one guest and makes it work on industry night with 6 others. We're blessed to have such a wonderful place in Portland. Though I wish I could ALWAYS get in (I've left after being told an hour wait) I love the size of this place. If it got any bigger it might simply not be as cool.
Amazing food and excellent service, I highly recommend Boda to all my friends and family and my customers!
Incredible Thai food with a seasonal menu and great service. Every time we are in Portland this is our go to spot. The drinks are great and original as well and I will definitely be back.
Late night option plus great food and prices. One of our favorites in Portland.
Most amazing Pad Thai ever. So many beautiful flavors. Terrific bartender. Delicious Dark and stormy. And gluten free!!!!
The cocktails and food is incredible! We tried the Quail eggs, mussels, oysters, peanuts, and Brussels sprouts, all from the appetizer menu. I loved everything! The flavors were so well balanced and satisfying. We will definitely be back for more.
So delicious. Bacon wrapped scallops were so flavorful and the traditional pad Thai mouth watering. Go here. Now.
Amazing especially the egg-wrapped pad thai.
Hands down my favorite restaurant in the entire city of Portland Maine!!!!
Best Thai restaurant ever. We’re visiting from Kansas City and now I’m going to crave Boda until I can get back here. Damn you Boda!
Daughter had yellow curry- heavenly. I had delicious beef salad, spicy 🌶 but mint cilantro and cucumbers calmed it down to just right! Yum!!!

Our favorite place to eat in Portland. It's always great; first come first serve so get here early (or late) to avoid a wait. Get the awesome coffee.
Excellent Thai food! Can’t wait to come back! Great customer service. The food came out hot and delicious and presented well. It’s great to have a place that’s open late with dine in and such amazing food with excellent flavors! Everything we ordered was perfect! This is definitely a new Thai food contender!
Update: We have been back two more times this week! Still amazing! Great friendly staff ❤️👍🏾😄
As an-almost-daily consumer of Thai food, this place definitely checked a few boxes.
We had a few dishes however my favorite, hands-down from this establishment were the mussels. It came in a curry with sticky rice on the side. The curry was DELICIOUS. It was the right amount of spicy and tangy. If you cannot handle spice, make sure you reconsider or ask to make it less spicier. But as a spicy food lover, this was a dish to remember. The sauce was also transferred to the other orders as it was a great addition.
Definitely recommend this place due to the food. The environment is rather -okay. The structure of the restaurant is pretty comforting and chill, however aside from our waiter, everyone else’s vibe was a bit off. From the moment we were greeted by staff to being sat, it was just weird. Unsure if it’s because there’s not many colored folks around that area but definitely felt like we were pieces of art being stared at (“Get Out” moment, ifykyk). For this reason, if I do return, I might just do take-out. Definitely will recommend to eat inside the restaurant if you’re comfortable, as everyone else seemed as they were having a blast. Again, the food was awesome, hot & fresh … and ready to be consumed as the service from our waiter was pretty quick.
Service was great even when it was busy. Some of the best pad thai and drunken noodles we've had. Pad thai was unique because it was wrapped in egg. Looked like an omelette. Quail eggs were delicious but a very simple dish. I've never had quail eggs before but this tasted like regular chicken eggs. Everything we had was gluten and shellfish free. Very allergy friendly place. Have to go back and eat more!
ate here for their late night dinner and was wowed! really delicious food everything we ordered was good (especially the mussels and the vegetable curry!) great place to stop for dinner while in Portland!
We had a small wait on a Tuesday evening, but it was worth the wait. We had the quail eggs (must try) and the goi tod (mushroom salad). Both had such unique flavor and texture. I ordered the Pad Thai, it was glass noodles instead of the traditional rice noodles, and then wrapped in a thin omelette. Out of this world. Boda is a must try whenever we are in town.
Amazing Thai food in Portland. They do a great job with everything. Have a super interesting and creative cocktail list. All the food we had down to the roasted nuts was delicious. The quail eggs specifically are phenomenal. Highly, highly recommend going here, it will not disappoint. Space is small and decently casual but has a lively ambiance and a very friendly staff.
I searched for top restaurants in Portland and BofA showed up in the article I was reading. I pulled the name into Google, and it showed me to make a reservation for two at various times but not for one. So I decided to wing it and go super early (before they opened) and wait it out, and ask to sit at the bar. I ended up meeting a nice young lady to chat with (Sabrina). Apparently, she's a regular she says you really can't go wrong with any meal you offer from the menu, so I chose the duck 🦆 because that's my go-to when I'm in a Thai restaurant. The meal came out beautiful (see photos), but it was on the dry side. The bokchoy vegetable skillet was yummy. To bad they don't have a large size skillet with a bunch of veggies to order as a meal - that would be the perfect vegan meal. Spaking of which, they don't have vegan meals per se, but you can order the fried brussel sprouts or a combination of veggies to make a meal. Unfortunately, nothing really fun for vegans, unless of course, they decided to add a large bokchoy vegetable skillet, then, that would be fun for your palette - just delicious. For a drink, I decided on the Thai Iced Tea - it was premade and if you order light ice, it comes in a rocks glass instead of a highball (see photo). Maximilien wh bartender and you can get him talking when you ask him about his favorite drinks. 🤗 He was nice, friendly and informative. I had a good time. I'll be back.
Pad Thai was great. The skewers were good too, and we loved the mango sticky rice.
