Went there about a week ago for the first time. food took almost hr to get..my appetizer (irish nachos i think they were called) was massive more like a meal but sooo good. For meal I got the turkey sandwich wasn't really for me. Husband got hot wings which were more mild..service was ok...had to ask another waitress for straw and napkins because didn't see ours for a good 30m but will definitely go back.
My fiancé & I came here for date night. Came from 30 minutes away because we’ve heard such good things about this place. It was 100% worth it. The service is seriously fantastic. Hannah was our waitress, so so kind. I’m not sure who sat us, but she was also very kind. Food was delicious. 1,000% recommend the Mac n cheese!! Our burgers were delish! Definitely coming back & making sure to bring other people!
Amazing food, and an even better atmosphere! We drive 30 minutes out of our way just to come to Timber Tavern! Waitstaff is always friendly, and specials are always different. I recommend the apple jack burger! Hands down the best restaurant in the north country!
We reserved this place for a formal dinner with a party of 60 people. Decent prices 45$ per person for appetizers and dinner.
Dinner consisted of a large steak with mashed potatoes and bacon Brussel sprouts. It was very tasty and made for great leftovers.
The bar had good drinks and fast service.
Would recommend this place again.
My family of 3, including me, went here yesterday, and the food took a while to come out, but it was definitely worth it. We got the buffalo chicken sandwich, pulled pork grilled cheese, and the Reuben burger. All of us loved our food and the menus have jokes within some of the food descriptions. It was fun to read all of them.
I had the Thanksgiving ever day sandwich. It's was so amazing. Others had Chicken Parm. Also very good. Soup was great.
Stopped in for lunch while visiting family in Potsdam. Food was awesome, however Brittany our server was AMAZING!! She was working alone, had an 8 top, 7 top table and 5 other tables between the bar and dining room with 2-4 people and she didn't miss a beat!! As a business owner for over 20 years, whatever you are paying her is definitely not enough, especially in this economy. Someone who is that dedicated, hops in the kitchen to pick up the slack because the other cook wasn't in and can STILL handle those tables. I hope you know the gem you have there. Very impressive. Lucky I'm not in the restaurant business or I would have offered her a job on the spot! 😉 P.S. Love the descriptions of your menu items 🤣

My "The Cowboy" burger was good, juicy & seasoned well, served with fries. Their cobb salad was good, too, and you can substitute grilled chicken with steak. The staff was friendly.
Excellent service, great prices with ample delicious portions, and so many different varieties of poutine! Had the fish tacos which are also excellent.
Fantastic food and service. Enjoyable menu. Good beer selection. Rustic atmosphere. Good selection of burgers, wings and entrees. Ben, the owner and chef, occasionally comes out to greet the patrons and check on how people are enjoying their meals. Definitely a place to go to, as it's a little off the beaten path, but well worth the trip.
We recently moved here and this is a fun little gem in Parishville with a beautiful log interior and stone fireplace!
The menu is extensive so there are many somethings for everyone! It is also creatively written and entertaining to read! You don’t get that at very many places! (I posted 4 photos of it)
I read some reviews whining about price. Everyone is entitled to their opinions and I feel it’s worth it! If you want to spend $8.50 on dinner then drive 20 min to Potsdam and go to a drive thru. If you want a nice clean place with good atmosphere, and to support the local eatery so it stays around, GO HERE!! :)
Fantastic meal. I had the hamburg with apple and maple syrup. Sounds strange, but it was fabulous! Service was fantastic. A gem slightly outside of Potsdam.
Loved you could watch the sports games on multiple TV's ,while having friendly people serve you a delicious meal!
The menu is hilarious to read and the food was ALL amazing...the owner is a wickes cool guy. We were the only ones there on a Sunday evening and he made me my own special drink at the bar. We will be back.
Great food, great service! The menu is the best entertainment: read the whole thing, you won't regret it! The fish fry is spectacular and burgers are fresh and delicious!

My boyfriend and I stopped while on his side by side and had lunch. Our bartender was Tori. She was 21, young but very nice. I had a Long Island Iced Tea, which was good and Irish nachos for an appetizer(waffle fries, scallions, jalapeños, tomatoes, cheddar, and ranch drizzled on top). I then had their fish tacos (breaded fish with cabbage and southwestern sauce on soft shell), and my boyfriend had the chicken tender basket (chicken and fries, he's plain and simple). I enjoyed the meal and service very much!
