This was by far our most favorite brewery in PH when we visited. Call Parent was an independent food truck outback, there is a beautiful outdoor space and many different types of beers on draft which we enjoyed. There is definitely a small community vibe and the places run by a family which makes it feel more homey and just overall a wonderful experience. Complete strangers started talking to us and we made friends instantly with local people it was really a wonderful experience. I particularly love the plan the cleanliness and the authentic small Business feel of the place. This is an excellent place for your kids there’s lots of toys and games to play in the back and space to walk around.
Thank you for hosting the Cousins Maine Lobster food truck today. Worth the hour long wait, but next time I will know to use their app to order ahead of time. Nice mural on the side of the building and lovely outdoor seating area in the back which must be enjoyable in nice weather. Sorry, I’m not a beer person, so I can’t say anything about that.
Easily my favorite Poughkeepsie brewery to hang out at. The vibe is pretty chill with bar seating, some couches, and a great patio. There are usually anywhere between 10-15 beers on, with a variety that runs the gamut of styles from light crisp lagers, small easy drinking sours, to IPAs both in the trendy hazy style and the old school west coast style, with bigger stouts, as well, and often things in between. There is usually a new beer on each week or two, so each visit will often have something new to discover. Beers are excellent and available in flights or full pours, and usually cans and growlers to go. Currently no food (may be coming in the future), but often a food truck on weekends, and you can order in from local delivery places or bring in outside food. Worth the visit.
Awesome brewery. Great space. Really nice staff and fantastic beers. Check it out.
King’s Court has great potential. The beers are superb. I highly recommend the Schwarzbier if you’re a dark / malty beer fan, the Hazy Mist for IPA-philes, the Youngberry for the juicy IPA fans, and the Playing Possum Imperial Amber Ale for a balanced brown ale. The brewery focuses solely on beer, which is fantastic, and we enjoyed good food from a nearby food truck (this week happened to be Thailicious, an awesome Thai food truck).
Keep in mind that if you want a growler, the owner prefers either you use a King’s Court growler or he puts duct tape around the logo. It isn’t a dealbreaker, but it’s his preference to do so. I thought the owners were friendly. There was a huge selection of IPAs (see picture), so I actually asked for their help in picking one and that’s how I discovered Hazy Mist.
All in all, King’s Court is a great way to chill out on the weekend with friends
Trivia night is a great time (unless you’re awful at trivia, in which case, just enjoy the fun of losing) and Missa is the best. She’s great at guessing what drink you’d like (unless you’re picky, don’t be picky). 10/10 would recommend! Also, the vibe here is great. Just go, you won’t regret it.
Excellent beer and a great bartender. Loved all the beers we tried. Will definitely be back.
