Ordered breakfast via a deliver app, food came fast, eggs over easy with sausage and potatoes, the potatoes were very flavorful not like some that you find elsewhere, ordered a chocolate milk with breakfast that was a bit pricey at 3.50$ but over all excellent food!
Cozy restaurant, family owned for more than 20 years. The staff is very welcoming and service is quick. Good choice for a home cooked meal.
Stopped in for breakfast on our way out of town. Eggs were fresh and food was delicious. The owners were friendly and very accommodating. In the ladies room there is a sign with encouraging and uplifting hand written words, verses and quotes. Loved it!
Stopped in for lunch with my husband and toddler. They couldn't have been nicer to us. My son stood in the window seat watching cars go by. The brought him his own little bowl of melon. Tuna melt and chocolate chip pancakes were both delicious!
Julie's is amazing, I had a smoothie and dumplings with meat in them. They serve it with a small amount of rice and a sweet sauce. Yummy!!! The menu is light and health focused, the atmosphere is cozy with relaxing music in the background. Great place for a light meal and health drinks and smoothies.
An Amazing Meal!!
I went here with my mom. I got the Hungry Harry, and she got the eggs benedict, and HOLY WOW ITS GOOD! The owners always make you feel welcome with smiles and pats on the backs. The Hungry Harry consists of 3 huge pancakes, the best sausage I've ever had, 2 strips of bacon, and 2 fried eggs, and it's only $10! It's all home cooked and the wait times are short. Definitly disregard any negative reviews. This restaurant deserves noting less that 5 stars!
This place is fantastic! Julie & Gus make you feel right at home. My wife and I had 2 of the best omelets we’ve ever had! Highly recommend! We’ll be back...Often!
We visit our daughter at Vassar College often in the spring - and never miss eating at Julie's. Best breakfast in Poughkeepsie. Julie's Eggs Benedict (or Florentine) are incredible - and her Corned Beef Hash has made a convert out of this southerner (my husband, who is from upstate NY, made me try it for years. Never liked it 'til now.) Also love their Greeks salads and Gyros. I'm not sure when Julie and Gus moved to the US, but they brought a little bit of Greece with them.
Highly recommend. Easy to get to, and very close to Vassar. You will see Julie, her husband Gus, and probably at least one of their kids. This is a true family-run establishment.
