The hardest thing to do at Dolce Bakery is to pick my favorite treat because they are all my favorite. Erin Brown and the Dolce staff are very dedicated and it shows in every thing they do!
Dolce makes the absolute best carrot cake I've ever tasted......and I've tasted plenty. Everything they make is delicious but the carrot cake is my favorite.
We always order our celebratory cakes from Dolce and they are always fantastic! Absolutely the best bakery with a very loyal KC owner!

For our September wedding, our bakery search began with the desire to have a naked wedding cake (no frosting). Not many places in the KC area do that-or at least advertise that they do. While searching, we stumbled across some of Dolce Bakery’s previous work with naked cakes. We decided to meet with them, and we are so glad we did. Not only was the cake (apple pie flavored) AMAZING, but we also had a dessert bar with an assortment of delicious treats including lemon bars, chocolate cookies, coconut macaroons and pumpkin cupcakes. I love that Dolce Bakery allowed us to have an assortment of dessert options and not just cake. This was great for our guests and our wallet.
The staff at Dolce Bakery was very friendly, they offered us samples to taste all their options and gave input when we were lost as to what would be best. We rented their platters for the day, and they worked perfectly. They delivered and set up the dessert table. All we had to do was return the platters the next day.
Overall we are so happy with Dolce bakery and would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for some tasty treats at their event - or to just stop by for a tasty treat.
You can taste that this isn't grocery store bought or boxed. The frosting is creamy and rich, but not too much. The cake is moist. Nothing is too sweet or bland. And the customer service was friendly :)
Dolce is one of our favorite bakeries even through our dating phase, so naturally we hired them to do our desserts for our wedding. They went above and beyond to match our aesthetic and our need for multiple types of cookie sandwiches. We had them create a cookie cake that looked like a true tiered wedding cake, and it was the biggest hit of the night. Dolce is never anything short of heaven in your mouth. Could not recommend them more for your wedding cake or dessert needs!
Dolce Bakery designed our wedding cake and it was FABULOUS!!!! My husband and I started our wedding consultation with a cake tasting at the bakery and we spent a solid hour going over flavors, design and how many tiers we wanted. The Dolce team has been nothing but kind and quick to respond to all of my emails. The cake tasted absolutely amazing and the design was perfection. We did a solid buttercream around a 5- layer cake (each layer being different cake flavor and filling)- Our guests could not stop talking about how amazing the cake tasted. Very delicious bakery in with some cute shops. I stopped in for a coffee and a treat. The coffee was prepared fresh and unique recipe with lavender and honey. It was very good! The bakery had one or two things papered gluten free but it wasn't dedicated equipment so there would be cross contamination. The food was delicious and service was efficient and friendly. Over all great!
Our wedding has been over for a few days now and we are still receiving text after text asking where our cookies came from! The cookies have been described as “melt in your mouth” & “better than Grandma’s”! And not only do they make delectable cookies, Dolce was a pleasure to work with from day one. Chloe was so kind and patient while we made decisions on what to have and was an expert on helping us design the most perfect, picturesque cookies! And the execution on the designs were amazing! We highly recommend not only using Dolce Bakery for your event, but also recommend going into their shop in Prairie Village and seeing their hospitality for yourself!
