OMG!!!! This place was awesome! Between the atmosphere, service, and the food I can't say enough about what a wonderful time I had. Food was a little pricey for what I usually pay but it was well worth the price! I highly recommend some things: trout rillette and the salmon poke. The bacon beignet I didn't care for but I'm not able to eat fried food. However the inside was delicious as well as the sauce that went with it. I loved the trout rillette so much I made it my main course! Got to try this place!!!!

From the moment we entered I was struck by the impeccable ambiance. Our server, Maddie struck just the right note of warmth and professional service. We selected several starters and two entrees. The foie gras was smooth, creamy and richly flavored. My husband, who normally eshewes cauliflower could not stop spooning up my soup. The bread for the burrata could have been a bit softer and another slice would have been nice with the dish, which was otherwise excellent. The star starter was the bacon beignets, accompanied by a maple crème fraiche. Heavenly. Our entrees were perfect as well. The bavette was perfectly cooked, the chicken paired well with the foie gras truffle sauce but was not overwhelmed by it. Dessert was a bit underwhelming, but I understand- the kitchen is not set up for pastry chefs. However, when I saw Happy Anniversary, spelled out in chocolate, I knew our server was truly attentive- we never mentioned it was our anniversary to her. Thank You, Mistral, for a memorable dinner- we will be back.
The Waygu is to die for! Rob our waiter was very attentive, as was the whole staff. I recommend a visit when you're in town.
We had a wonderful dinner at Mistral in Princeton last night for my wife's birthday. The chef prepared a delicious four-course prix fixe menu for our group of 12. From planning the event and menu, to the arrival of guests and the surprise, the staff members were very inviting and accommodating. Our server was attentive, outgoing, and kind. The ambiance of the semi-outdoor room was perfect. I highly recommend and look forward to returning!
Great spot. Every dish is made in way that you certainly have never experienced. Great flavor and presentation.

Been to Mistral many times! Our go to spot in Princeton! The food and drinks are fantastic, unique and fun! The staff is always wonderful and the ambiance is urban and chic. Hands down a great experience every time!
by happenstance we stopped for lunch. the 3 of us ordered completely different menu items and all I can say is PERFECT!! Destiny was the quintessential server!!!
This place is so amazingly good. The service was excellent and the food exquisite. I had to try really hard to not devour my burger instantly (I ultimately failed). If you're looking for an excellent meal in Princeton, look no further!
Food was delicious and healthy. I had poached trout, they have done miracles with this dish. Flavorful. Our waitress was knowledgeable, attentive and super nice. Will definitely be back.

Both my wife and I were a little reluctant because of the way the menu seemed .....(very different). We had approx. 6 different dishes and all I can say is the food is very good very different but very good....you really need to try it.
The food was delicious, cocktail was perfect and the servers were attentive and professional. I'm also a person with severe food allergies and the staff put me at ease by pointing out everything they could make for me. I'm looking forward to my return visit.
Fantastic!!! All night I've been saying.. "I can't believe how good that food was!" We had around 10 plates between 4 of us, and every plate was unique, innovative and tasted delicious!
If you want to try one thing....bacon bignets.... awesome!!! The waitstaff is incredible, the food was incredible, everything about this place is incredible. Make it a must stop when you're in Princeton.

Absolutely exemplary experience. Never disappointed when I've come to Mistral. Always worth the trip. Pictured are the shrimp lobster butter bisque, buratta, tuna entree, chicken schnitzel entree, milk & honey tart and black forest cake. I ate the beef tartar too fast to take a picture.
Had a wonderful dinner, with friends, here yesterday. Love the selection and the small plates. It give you an opportunity to try many different dishes and we did try...most of the menu! The dishes were very creative, with unique flavors and with nice presentation. Everything we had was delicious.
A little on the pricey side but well worth it.
We were shown the menu and taken orders before seating so the food came immediately as we sat down which was so convenient of us. The venue was impressive! I couldn't ask for more! Everything was great especially their staff, they accommodated us professionally and well-mannered. Thank you so much for the genuine service. Thank a lot!!
We were supposed to have our wedding dinner at elements, but due to the indoor dining restrictions in NJ, the restaurant group's event coordinator brought up Mistral's outdoor covered patio as an option. We jumped on the opportunity and we are so glad that we did. Our wedding dinner was wonderful and we are so grateful! My husband is a chef, so the food and beverage choices and the level of service were important to him. Mistral hit the ball out of the park. Thank you so much to Heather for helping us set up everything remotely since we live in Colorado, and thank you to Daniele who helped the night run smoothly. We cannot wait to come back to NJ next year for our reception and we plan to have a date night at Mistral while we are home!
Fantastic! It’s rare that I find a restaurant that excels in every category. Great cocktails, entrees, apps & desserts.

Got here early for my reservation and took a walk around the charming downtown, until the skies opened up and I was soaked. Not to worry, the inventive cocktails and food at Mistral warmed me up nicely.
Had the brussel sprouts, which were amazing, Also the gougeres, which were okay, but a nice palate change from the sprouts, and finished with the spicy tuna toast which was divine. I didn't have any large plates, but I'm sure they all would have been terrific. Super nice staff. Food came out incredibly fast. I'd definitely return.
Ambiance is difficult to achieve during a pandemic... Mistral missed the mark at creating a romantic, warm, or inviting atmosphere (take out containers lined up on the “chef’s table” don’t cut it...), but made up for the lack of class with bold flavors that packed a punch. Come for the food and be glad you’re at a restaurant!
