Had a fantastic pheasant hunt would recommend to anyone. Stayed 2 nights the rooms are comfortable and cozy a great place to get away from it all. The family bent over to give us an anniversary to remember. The breakfast was great.
The Walleye dinner on Fridays has taken the top spot over my typical Perch Fry!! Prime Rib Saturday was fabulous! Atmosphere is northwoods spot on! Very cool place, and homey!
This place will always hold a place in my heart because its where my future husband proposed to me. I never thought a random trip kyacking would lead to his proposal. The scenery was beautiful, the staff was amazing, and I'll be returning every year. After we were pricked up on our trip the staff congratulated us in a way I'll never forget. Thank you.

If there were 10 stars to click that's how I would describe the Mecan restaurant! Always fast friendly service and the food has always been great!! You can tell this family run business takes pride in what they do and the chef can whip up some awesome soups and pies!
We had an awesome time. Birthday dinner for my husband hosted by our son and daughter. Food was delicious. Entire staff was terrific.

Loved everything about out stay: the cabin with all the essentials, clean yet it felt lived in and comfortable. The fire pit with fresh cut wood over looking the pond and beautiful evergreen forest that had rustic paths to walk on. We cooked most of pur meals but had a delicious breakfast at the lodge! We also got set up with some nice kayaks that sent us on our way down the Fox river for a 2 hour cruise with a cool breeze on a beautiful sunny day!
There's something for everyone. The staff makes you feel like family. This place has a special place in my heart. The canoe/kayak trips are wonderful!
