I love this little tacqueira. The burritos are the best in Providence. Try their local sodas, none will disappoint. The place itself is small, charming, and cozy. The staff always greet you with a smile. The food itself has some great spice to it, but it's not overkill. Seriously, the best spot in town! :D
Since “discovering” this place a week or so ago, I’ve been back “only five times” and going to try everything on the menu I can. Walking down the street and seeing all the restaurants that have sprung up on the street since the days of my childhood in Fox Point, was a delightful surprise and I tell everyone I can, “ It’s more than worth it. If you like tacos and Mexican fast, this is the place. Always pleasant and the service staff is very helpful. 5+. You owe it to yourself. “ Its making me hungry just thinking about it. Fish Taco, Shrimp Taco, carne asata burrito, roasted pork something or other. Better stop or I will regret not going right over there now. I mean “right now”.
I'll never eat tacos anywhere else ever again. First had them at the farmers market down in South County a few years ago but now that I've been to the taqueria it will become a regular place to eat for us. The nachos also were out of this world and the mango drink with a shot of tequila was delicious!
You might think, "Providence? Tacos? How good can they be?" Well, with a classically-trained serious chef who happens to be of Mexican descent, you may begin to understand how good these tacos (and other items) really are. Everything is made fresh in house, even the hot sauce. I've seen the chef caution people to take only the amount of sauce they intend to use since everything has so much care going into it. Places like this are rare, for anywhere. I just came back from California and this place can hang with the best. For Providence, we are exceptionally lucky to have it here. My usual is the carnitas taco. Tried a lobster taco special the other day and it was just as good. I'm a fan. And so are my kids. Thanks, Chef Jake!
I found this place on Yelp! I was looking for a new place to try because I was tired of the same old ishhhh. I am so glad I decided to try it. The food was fresh and delicious. I would highly recommend it and I will definitely be going back.
Went here after seeing a picture of a plate of nachos on instagram posted by rhode island food fights. After reading a few reviews i went with my boyfriend. Easy to get to, 5 minutes from 95. Went inside and the place smelled really fresh :) i went with a burrito with chipotle braised potato as im vegetarian with the mint agua fresca and my SO got chorizo nachos with a pineapple soda. Staff was super friendly and food was delivered fast even with a full house. My burrito was perfect. Wrapped tight so it didnt fall apart not to greasy and the potato was not a choice i regret in the least! The drink was refreshing too! My boyfriend really enjoyed his nachos, and i tried his soda which was really sweet! we didnt talk for a whole 5 minutes while munching. We were too full to try one of the churros but will next time!

As a frequent burrito eater, I can honestly say this was by far the best burrito I've ever had the joy of eating. It was perfect! Just the right amount of spice, the barbacoa was so juicy and had sooo much flavor, even the tortilla was exceptional! It broke my heart to eat the last bite.

Some of the best tacos in the city. Chorizo and tongue are my favorites, Mexican shrimp cocktail is also fireeee!
Delicious quick stop for decent tacos. My boyfriend and I stopped here before we had to drive back to New Jersey, and we were impressed with the quality and flavors of the tacos we had. The churro was super delicious too!

Five stars because this place makes some of the best food I've eaten. I have some restaurant experience, so without being an ass I think I know good stuff when I eat it. What IS important is what these people put on your plate, visit after visit: FRESH, excellent, made with care, so flavorful, delivered with a smile. Le Bec Fin? No, because that's not what they want to be. A wicked wicked cool little tiny place in Providence that blows away everyone I bring in on a date or just for a snack? SPOT ON! Please do go visit, the food is fabulous and you will love the people. And you'll be back.
It was my fourth time at Tallulah’s Taqueria The service was excellent amd the food was out of this world. I truly can’t wait to go back.
