Made my birthday afternoon/early evening fun. We arrived right at 4PM and they were just opening. Food was very delicious. The calamari and chicken wings are in the photos. However, I like to go places that have fun drinks and desserts and this place literally brought the fire! They had very cool drink options. One was a “flaming shot” and the other was an espresso martini with a floating flame.
This was my first time at Layali, we went for a birthday dinner. The food was great, service was too. I really enjoyed my drink The Strawberry Basil something, it was light and refreshing. The Asian BBQ Wings were awesome get a plate for the table or else you'll have to share them like I did. Next time I'm going to try the fried Brussel sprouts.
Very trendy restaurant with some unique Mediterranean inspired dishes! A great place for date night, getting trendy drinks with friends, or simply treating yourself to a top tier meal! The Flaming Espresso Martini is a must-try! They have some of the trendiest drinks you'll find in Providence.
As a vegetarian, it's a little hard for me because most of their dishes have meat or seafood - but they still managed to win me over with their fried brussel sprouts! I really wanted to try their pistachio cheesecake for dessert, but they unfortunately were out of it.
I'll definitely be coming back! Great special occasion restaurant in the heart of Providence.
I really enjoyed my dinner, martini, and wine here! I got the French Kiss martini and it was amazing!! The hummus was recommended as well as the chicken skewers... Both hit the spot! I wish I lived here, because I could see myself as a future "regular."
Amazing flavors on everything we got - tabulated salad, Moroccan chicken skewers, cauliflower appetizer. Also added shrimp to salad it was very fresh and perfectly seasoned and grilled. The staff super friendly, the place also has outside seating.

Absolutely FANTASTIC experience! Tim the bartender is so clever and funny and made my time there so special. It's a place you can make fast friends in. I know I certainly did.
The bar seating is up close and personal and the the atmosphere is so casual and inviting. I'm more on the shy and introverted side, but once I sat down, I felt more at home and like I was joking around with long-time pals. It's a truly magical experience.
I started out with the French Kiss which is a strawberry based martini topped with prosecco. It's not too sweet and actually tastes like strawberry soda! It wasn't too strong or had an overpowering alcohol taste, it was perfectly balanced. I also had the Moroccan chicken kabobs. Grilled chicken with this kind of avocado paste underneath on skewers. SO TENDER AND JUICY. A little crispy too but in a good way.
Dessert was the chocolate mousse cake. So smooth and creamy and it was heaven. VERY SWEET. The plate was lovingly decorated with dots of piped whipped cream, a chocolate drizzle, and strawberries. I tried a complimentary espresso martini with "Layali" written in cocoa powder. So creative and beautiful, and there was a little cup floating in it that was lit on fire with a blowtorch.
But the one part that floored me was the finishing shots. Two shots on a plate that tasted a little citrus topped with an orange peel and LIT ON FIRE. It was one of the CCOLEST things that I've seen in a long time. Down the shot, bite the orange peel.
Overall, I had an amazing time. Tim is one of the coolest bartenders I've ever met and if you love clever adult humor, he's your guy. Nobody's a total stranger there unless you want to be.

Unbelievable good food!! All authentic and homemade. Definitely go!! Drinks are off the charts too..so good.. Tim is an excellent bartender and can make the most amazing drinks 🍹 what a find!!
First time visiting this restaurant and we went for Pride dinner with a group of 15 and they were very accommodating super nice the wait staff was awesome the food was really good and just a great experience overall I will be returning and I fully recommend this place
