This is a sweet family owned bar steeped in history where the drinks are affordable and the vibe is mellow. I WISH that these some walls could talk. I wonder what they would say 🤔
They have bar food but I would only eat here in the case of emergency, don't come here if you are truly hungry -- they only have a microwave to make nachos and reheat mac and cheese. The drinks are reasonably priced and there is a pretty good dart board (ask for the darts at the bar) and a solid pool table. I would absolutely come back.
Awesome colonial factory style building. Beautiful! The beers are interesting (Belgians, porters and stouts) Food is great on portions and toppings.
Great place to take a date.. or a group. Definitely has ambiance.. I you listen you can probably hear the ombudsman of old talking about old providence port!
The Wild Colonial is the kind of place you can sneak in at 7:30 on a Tuesday night for a scotch and a pint and a quiet conversation, and by 8 it's jam packed. The tavern balances a nice old world feel with a clean modern attitude very well, and has an excellent selection of whiskies and an ok selection of regional beers. Prices are more or less what you'd expect. The open rustic colonial feel of the place is almost a surprise considering how unassuming the hole in the wall doorway looks. The location is very convenient to downtown, so there's no reason to think about a car. I'll definitely come back the next time I'm in Providence.
Awesome pub! One of my favorite places to grab aq beer with friends. Great selection of craft brews and friendly staff. One of the only places I feel comfortable going during COVID because there policies make it a safe place.
I absolutely love this bar! Amazing whiskey selection (pappy, stagg, other tasty rarities), nice blend of local and non local brews. The atmosphere is great. The exposed brick and stone complement the rich history this bar possesses. Come by and grab a whiskey or beer, shoot a game of pool or try your luck with the darts!
Came here to unlock an Untappd badge. Place is quiet and the bartender was nice. Bit overpriced IMO. They have free parking, which is nice. A lot of beers on tap and in bottle. Feels like a “locals only” kind of place. Cool building, too.
