When dining at the "locals", everything is relative when judging food, service, and ambiance. Capeside seafood is the very best seafood in the area. The preparation and quality is generally very good. The operation is designed to be a "down-home" experience mimicking quaint, small restaurants on the gulf coast. Capeside is not your upscale ($65.00 plate) west coast restaurant. Recently, I ate at one of those expensive 5-star seafood restaurants in southern California. Capeside seafood is better. I grew up in Mobile and worked in my fathers fresh seafood business and have a fairly good idea about fresh seafood. Every time I go to Capeside, I examine the fresh seafood. They are doing it right. I hope they have great success and do not compromise on the quality/freshness. If you think you have had a "poor" experience, try it again. You do not have to wear your tux and tails. Jeans will do just fine.

My wife & I decided to check out Capeside Fish Company today and we're sure glad we did! It's a fresh fish/seafood market and cafe. You wont find a better place for fresh seafood in this entire area. The selection and quality is a step or two above other places in at least a 3 county area. The thoughtful way they handle & cook the food is important. The staff was great! Very friendly, & helpful. We will definitely be back for more!

Always fantastic. I asked the waitress to surprise me with a fish and a side. She delivered with a delicious plate of scorpion fish and veggies! Fantastic

Family of 4 adults had a great dinner there last night. Service was great considering how busy they were. We went to the fresh fish counter and picked out some red snapper that was cooked for us to perfection. We also had a low boy bucket that we all shared and everything was tasty. My son had crab legs which he said was great. When we go next time we will sorta know how to order and know that you can bring your own wine and they will have glasses. My only suggestion is the feller up front that was my first contact as I walked through the door learn how to fake a smile. He seemed to be a grump. So glad my waitress put a different outlook on the experience.

We had a great lunch. The service was great and the food was even better. The seafood gumbo was very good and the fried shrimp was perfect. Looking forward to coming back soon and trying something else.

My mother wanted boiled shrimp for her 76th birthday. She wanted hers "mild" and everyone else wanted theirs "regular." Capeside accommodated our request to perfection for our birthday meal. And the service was stellar. Thanks.

Best seafood in the area, no doubt. Stopped by there this afternoon for an early dinner. Absolutely delicious! We started out with the Crab Dip appetizer and I highly recommend it. The wife had Blackened Flounder which she loved. I tried the Blackened Flounder on Cheese Grits with Cajun Creme Sauce. Absolutely wonderful!!! We will be eating there again!!

Coming from Destin/ Fort Walton Beach….its hard to find better seafood. This place really does give the panhandle a run for its money. Ordered the fried grouper sandwhich and some boudin balls. They were both cooked perfectly and delicious! Friendly staff and great service made my dining experience even better. Highly recommend. Definitely worth getting off the highway to get a great meal here!!

What a great surprise! Perfect little place for delicious seafood in Rainbow City (Gadsden, Attalah area). You can BYOB and they provide the glass, purchase seafood to take home and cook, dine in or carry out. The catfish was cooked perfectly (not fishy) and great little hush puppies.

This was my first visit. The blackened shrimp are very good. The french fries were OK and the slaw was good, but bland and needed seasoning. The two hush puppies were overcooked little hard knots almost inedible. My small Greek salad was very good with ample feta. The servers (Brandy and Ruthie) were very good. I really enjoyed my visit mostly because the service was so good. Except for the small hush puppies I would have rated a 5. We will be back soon for a second try.

Have dined here a few times and always pleased! Last visit had oysters on half shell and the blackened fish tacos…both were great. Fresh seafood and nice service. It’s a market also so take some of the fresh goodies home to cook too! Great selection!
