Definitely the best sushi and Japanese food in the area. I've been at school at nc state for 3 years now and have been trying many different Japanese places around the area and I finally found one worth noting! The sushi is great and very reasonably priced. The tempura is absolutely perfect and crispy. And to top it off I've had great service and the sushi chef is very sweet. Definitely love it and will be back many times.

This place is much more authentic than many other sushi places in the Triangle. Very quaint and the staff has been delightful to our Meetup participants. Meetup groups can be quite a handful with 10-20 people with separate checks!! Thank you Sushi Tsune for taking care of us very well and providing excellent food.

I visit this area twice a year on business. I always stop in for great sushi and their Dynamite Sushi. It's THE best! Miso Soup is top of the line! I"ll see you again in August!

Great food. California roll was the best I've ever had in any Sushi restaurant. Service was fantastic! If you're in the area stop in for a bite.

This is my favorite sushi in Raleigh! Tsune San has been preparing sushi at this same location for many years, and he recognizes me and my wife any time we visit! The miso soup is the best I've ever had, and the sushi is incredible.

The closest dining experience we've had since leaving Japan 20 years ago. Every time we eat here we are reminded of many great eating experiences while living in Japan.

A stand-alone sit down restaurant not far from the North Carolina State University campus. Right on Hillsborough. A little expensive for most college kids but definitely a nice dinner for a special treat. There are several things on the menu under $10 and huge portions specifically the udon bowls. The menu has a nice Japanese selection, the waitresses are amazing, the food came out fast and hot -always a nice surprise.

Sushi Tsune was my favorite sushi restaurant in Raleigh (and honestly probably my favorite restaurant overall). The sushi was traditional/classic (intentional ingredients and not covered in a ton of sauce) and all of the fish was fresh and very tasty. I also branched out and tried their Japanese dinner options and appetizers which were all delicious. Beyond the food, the atmosphere was very warm and inviting, with a unique area with two chabudai for a more authentic experience. The staff always remembered regulars and would ask how you’re doing. Sitting at the sushi bar, the Chef himself would talk to you while he made tons of items for all of his customers. All of this for a great value (large portions at modest prices) compared to other sushi restaurants in the area. Chef Tsune and staff, thank you so much! Getting Tsune on Friday nights before COVID and takeout so many times during lockdown will be sorely missed.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Raleigh and definitely my top place for authentic Japanese comfort food. It's small and cozy with table seating, sushi bar seating, and floor/cushion seating on tatami mats. The staff is very nice, too. I will always recommend this!

Giving the restaurant 5 stars does not do it justice. I love to give it sex or more stars because visit my favorite place to go to. The waiting staff is always friendly, and the chef is more than willing to teach you a to eat sushi properly. 10 hours 10 place to eat just watch out for that wasabi 😂

My favorite restaurant in Raleigh. The best Japanese restaurant that I’ve been to in NC. My mouth is salivating just thinking about their Ten Don (my go-to meal). I have never eaten anything disappointing at this place. Everything is delicious, I kid you not. You have to be there early to get a seat. Lovely intimate setting and the staff is AMAZING. We especially love Lee, she’s the best! If you haven’t been to this place, you are missing out on a gem!

By far the best sushi in Raleigh. The environment is cozy and friendly. The sushi lunch specials are amazing!! I come here way more often than I would like to admit. The staff knows my order and the chef, Mr. Tsune, is very friendly and remembers you. Highly, highly recommend all around!

A little pricey, but that's pretty typical of sushi, which I ate--and was awesome. I had the Dragon Roll. The place has a really quaint, small town Japanese feel. And is a great place for an intimate dinner... I was there with a business colleague, bit the place was very calm and quiet. The staff were very polite a courteous, and it appears to be a small locally owned business. If you're looking for Japanese Cuisine or Sushi. Definitely give this place a try.
