I adore Indian cuisine and make it a point to seek it wherever I go. Having had Indian food in a lot of major US and Canadian cities, I can say that Royal Indian now ranks high on my list of the best. Their lunch menu offers combos of a few dishes, allowing the customer a taste of a several dishes at once. Their dinner menu is extensive and can be ordered at lunch as well.. My food was fresh, perfectly seasoned and generous portions. The naan may be some of the best I have incurred It’s flaky, light and perfectly seasoned with butter. The service was friendly and attentive. Great experience. I will be back!

If you're looking for delicious and authentic Indian cusine, then look no further!! This really is the best Indian food in Raleigh. I absolutely love this place. The staff are polite and very friendly. The restaurant is conveniently located right off of Capital Blvd but the inside is decorated where it's quite and private which is great. This restaurant is located on the corner of a larger plaza so tons of parking available. As I mentioned earlier, the food is delicious and I highly recommend the butter chicken, chicken Tikka Masala, the garlic Naan, the mango Lassi and the Gulab Jamun. There's tons of other authentic dishes here that I'm still looking forward to trying. Ravi who was our waiter is so friendly and very knowledgeable about the history of the restaurant-he's been there for 30 years! He even brought us to kitchen to take a look at their charcoal Tandoor and they made us a fresh butter Naan. We even met the chef whose been there for over 30 years! It was a really awesome experience. I highly recommend and I can't wait to return.
Absolutely amazing. Seriously, you won’t be disappointed. The staff is excellent and fast. Food was fresh and flavorful. I will be coming back and bringing a friends! Ravi was excellent and made the experience even greater with his humor and customer service.
This place was amazing. Our server was hilarious and our water was constantly filled. The food goes without saying, but I will. AMAZING. I was so full and happy but couldn’t finish all the food. Can’t wait to have it for left overs. We also got complementary gulab jamun and again, DELICIOUS. Will definitely be making this our normal Indian spot.
Food was delicious! Best Indian cuisine I’ve tasted. The owner was kind, respectful, friendly, helpful and generous. The service was above and beyond! We will come back every time we come back in town to visit.
Food was so flavorful. Staff were wonderful and attentive, but also lively and kind, great to talk to. Love the atmosphere of the restaurant. Could not say enough amazing things about this place. Highly recommend.

Everyone was very nice, we were seated very quickly but it is a Thursday. The food was really good I had the tandoori chicken and garlic naan.

I recently moved to Raleigh,,NC, from Northern Virginia, and I was craving some Good India food.
I googled the “Best Indian Restaurant in Raleigh” and Royal Indian Restaurant was one of the restaurants that popped up. After reading their great reviews I decided to give me them a try.
The restaurant is warm. The staff is Very friendly, and the Food was Amazing! I’m glad I found a new Indian restaurant in Raleigh now.
Food was very flavorful and delicious! Staff was super attentive and the wait for food after we ordered was really short. Amazing lamb Briyani. Recommend trying the assorted bread basket to try different naan flavors. The portions were also great - had to get two togo boxes! Even came with a surprise dessert at the end.
Great staff and even better food. The host was very friendly and helpful. Their mango lassi was great to wash down the various curries we ordered. Will definitely be coming back for their amazing lunch combos!
They have a lunch special that comes with 3 different dishes . A small salad , yellow rice , Naan and dessert. The area is spacious and gives an Indian vibe. A family friend of mine from India recommended this restaurant since it’s close to home cooking.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND, i was craving gor some Indian food and this olace did not disappoint at all. The restaurant is clean, effiecient with their service, the ambience is good and the food is 10/10. Tasty, well cooked. Definately coming back.
I will say I loved the butter chicken, and the garlic naan bread. The chicken Biryani was amazing as well. It’s a really delicious place to eat and has a nice atmosphere and beautifully decorated. Well worth the visit. Also the mint chutney is very good.
I go to a lot of Indian restaurants and this one is one of the best I’ve been to in a long time. The food tasted great and the atmosphere was perfect. Great service and great food!
Amazing food, royal feast and appetizer sampler is what we had. Beyond delicious, not one thing I didn’t like. Medium spicy was perfect. Enjoyable and very diverse flavors. Fast and good service. Was my first time. They teach you how to eat the foods for the best experience if you are new, I appreciated this

My husband and I went for lunch to begin with, the service is good, they are very friendly, the food was very good, only the rice was a bit dry, and the place was very nice and clean, but a little expensive

Such a great place! The food is traditional and tastes amazing! The staff is very attentive and friendly! The space is so calm and tranquil. I recommend this place 100% for some real Indian food. I enjoyed everything here and would come back for more!
