Dinner date with my son! He picked the place, his food was great, but my crab cake sandwich wasn't. It was more breadcrumbs, then crabmeat. I didn't enjoy it. The salad was good. The drinks were great.
Popped in for the first time today for some food and a beverage. The beer was good and cold and they had a good selection. The bartender (Bridget) was great and friendly. I like the atmosphere and it was clean. I ordered the oyster po boy. The food came out quick and it was hot. The fries and the oysters were fried perfectly. Food was great. Definitely will be going back. Nice little spot.
We sat at the bar and the bartender's service was very attentive. We ordered the fish & chips, as well as the peel & eat shrimp with lemon pepper seasoning. (I was a little hesitant about lemon pepper, but it was really good!) The portions for both dishes were generous. We would definitely order them again! We're looking forward to returning for clam strips next time.
We love the shuckin shack and tried out this location...friendly staff, cold drinks, and unfortunately cold seafood.
Calamari appetizer was hot and wonderful!main entrees tasted good, but were cold. Disappointing to say the least, as we bought the most expensive combination to split...it got busy after we had our food delivered and never got a follow-up up on how our food was...just the check.
I love their fried oysters platter. Good french fries as well. And any of their fried fish. Decent beer selection. Nice patio area if you want to sit outdoors.
I stopped in on my way to another establishment. Samantha was great! They didn't have my favorite beer and she recommended a great one. The food was good too!
Delicious! The fried pickles are an absolute must have!! š Good specials and friendly service. Got there right before 5:00 on Friday night and the place was PACKED before we left. Our table loved the wings ($1 each during happy hour!) as well as the shrimp. Shoutout to Lindsey (I've been missing her at the Tryon Rd location!) and new server Wendy who was very attentive! All around a good experience... Will definitely come back to enjoy the patio when it's not raining!!
Craving seafood and so impressed we were served equally as good without going to the coast. Bloody Mary was on point, chargrilled oysters were on the level of the Florabama, IYKYK, and steamer bucket was steamed to perfection. You will be seeing more of us this winter!š¦

This place is a staple for me! Brigette is one of the best bartenders Iāve come across! Wouldnāt think to go to a seafood place for burgers but they make a great burger. And needless to say the seafood is top notch!! Great place to work up on your list!!!

Iāve been to the Raleigh Shuckinā Shack twice now. Both times, Iāve been very pleased! The oysters are excellent, but I must say the highlight for me was the crab legs. I have never had better crab legs! Both visits, the crab legs were absolutely incredible! I cracked them open to find very appetizing-looking meatāSnow White in color. I knew I was in for a real treat when I saw the color of the meat. The flavor of them was nutty/briny, very reminiscent of the ocean! They are sweet but not extremely sweet, with a very delicate salty flavor. Kind of tasted a bit like Polluck..Shuckin Shacks crab legs are divine! Holy cow!
As far as service goes, I thought Ashley on my first visit was wonderful; she earned a fat tip, and Lilly on my second visit was very sweet. Lilly said Iām a cool guy and encouraged me to bring someone with me on my next visit. I told her I like to go out alone because if a friend is with me, they eat all my crab legs, which is rather shellfish of them..Haha. See what I did there? She had a good laugh. She also earned a fat tip. Keep up the great work guys!!
Decent seafood in a laid-back atmosphere. Reasonable prices. Good mixed drinks. Friendly but overworked waitress and bartender. Really nice specials. This is far from fancy. Just good food and drink at an affordable price. The mixed drinks are not too shabby, either. Try a painkiller.
There's no sign yet, and on a new street, so it's easy to miss. Staff are super nice and attentive. The oyster shooters were a great start, and the steamed and raw oysters came fast and tasty. 2 kinds of oysters to choose from when I went. The hushpuppies are crispy and addictive. Very happy this is close to my home.
This is a great little oyster bar! I love the casual atmosphere here. It makes me feel like Iām at the beach. Great cocktails and food!
