Wow! HANDS DOWN THE BEST BBQ IVE EVER HAD. The meats were juicy and the sides were flavorful. We got there right before a line started to form out the door but the service was great. We got one plate with two meat options and two sides, the baked beans and potato salad. I will always choose this place for some great BBQ.
I normally give 3 to 4 stars for regular restaurants because I know what I already expect from the place. This place gets 5 stars. This review is on the food and nothing else. My first time ordering from here and checking the website to see the awards list definitely says this is a good place to visit for some slow cooked smoked meats. So I got the brisket and the full rack of baby back ribs. The brisket falls apart and ribs are very good. The smoked flavor is subtle but it's in the meat. This place gets the 5 stars because I can tell through that brisket the amount of work to smoke it for more than 8+ hours such that the collage holding the meat together just falls apart. It's that good.
Though my rating is 4 Stars, I'd really rate it 3.5 stars if I could. The food (meats and sides) was fresh and well prepared, however, it all lacked flavor. The brisket was super tender and the ribs fell right off the bone. The turkey was a bit dry and the pulled pork was just shredded pork. My favorite meat was the hot link. The potato salad and baked beans were average, but the creamed corn and cole slaw were both quite tasty. Was not impressed at all by the BBQ sauces; I tried to doctor them but ultimately decided to just use my own. Overall, it was a good experience and I'd definitely go back! Though it slightly bland and lacked some flavor, I appreciate quality BBQ that isn't too salty or overly greasy.
Best brisket in California. Amazing meat quality and the brisket is melt in your mouth. Only down side is that rub and smoke flavors are not as strong because of pellet smoker but the meat makes it the best bbq I've had.
I like to go with friends to this restaurant with my highest recommendations. I go their often. This recommendation is always successful. The the food there is fantastic and the crew is efficient and cooperative. Every time we visit this place we enjoy a lovely time. I recommend this place with pleasure.
It's good! Had the beef brisket, jalapeno sausage, collard greens baked beans and cornbread. Overall good! Tried all the sauces. Not a huge fan of the sauces... They're good not great. The cool breeze sauce does pack a punch in the mouth I do like that, but there's some strange citrus-like taste in there that I wasn't a huge fan of... Good though... I'll be back to try some of the other menu items.
I drove out of LB to give this BBQ place a shot and I definitely dont regret the 30 min drive. The location is small and very easy to miss if you’ve never been. When I visited, it was busy and full of people, which is always a good first impression. The staff was extremely friendly, and the menu was full of options ranging from regular plates with 1-2 meat options to sandwiches. There is also an array of sides that include beans, coleslaw and potato salad. The menu was very reasonably priced and the food was very great quality. I got the pulled pork sandwich and, rack of pork ribs. Definitely would recommend to anyone in the area, especially if you’re looking for a reasonably priced and tasty meal.
They were out of beef ribs however I did try the brisket it was good and some of the ribs and the smoked turkey😍
