This is one of my favorite restaurants. Every year, when I travel to Delaware, I make sure to visit this place while I’m there. The food is awesome. I’ve been here probably 10 times, and every time the food is perfect. Nothing id bad, except the fries. They’re sort of like those brown ones you get at a sports bar, but besides that, everything is awesome. The service is great, and the owners are involved with the restaurant, and make sure your meal and experience is perfect. Definitely go out of your way to go here, and trust me, you won’t be disappointed.

This meal was start to finish perfection! Our oyster sampler was served with an explanation of which ones we were eating and a sheet explaining the flavor profiles. Service was top notch in general. My entree was the whole fried sea bass. It was absolutely delicious! When they packaged up my leftovers, the fish was separated from the sides so that it would stay crisp. We cannot wait to go back!

I am the seafood lover and this place is the best f-word seafood restaurant I have ever been. I am not joking. Oysters are very fresh and yummy. Crab cakes are also amazing; it's just salty enough and maximizing crab flavour with two delicious side dishes u pick. Sauces are great as well.

Always great food, amazing experience, and good service. I am so sad that they no longer do happy hour specials. They were the best in the area. Either way, still love going here. It's always a great experience.

Arrived for dinner around 6 on a Sunday evening, waited about 30 minutes for a table. Maizie provided incredible service, was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. Ordered the blueberry daiquiri, yellowfin tuna tartare app, crab cakes, and Smith Island cake for dessert. By far the best meal and service of my Delaware trip!

We stopped at Henlopen City Oyster House for an impromptu evening out. My bride ordered the Potluck, a dish that includes oysters, mussels, clams, shrimp, Nawlins-style sausage, sprouts and potatoes in broth. I ordered crabcakes with mac and cheese, and green beans. Both were delicious! My wife reports that her Cosmopolitan was "10 out of 10." The staff is great, too.

Henlopen was the most in demand restaurant during our rehoboth trip. We went around 730 the first night and they had already filled up for the night. We went again on our last night closer to 530 and were able to get a table around 615. They make use of yelp waitlists and it's super convenient. The service and the food were amazing here. Our water cups were rarely below the half point. Our waiter was attentive and everyone who brought our food out was so friendly. We ordered the oyster sampler (one of each oyster), the jerk grilled rockfish with fries and mashed potatoes, the lobster roll with mac and cheese, the soft shell crab, and the bouillabaisse. All of the food was amazing and we completely cleared all of our plates. A few things to note: outdoor seating is only available for parties of two and the indoor seating is packed quite full. I prefer to still eat outside when possible due to covid so this was a bit of a downer but looking at where the restaurant is located, I completely understand this is due to a lack of sidewalk space. I also understand that the restaurant industry has been hit hard by covid and that probably contributes to how close the tables are but figured I'd mention it in case your comfort level is not where mine is. I would highly recommend eating at Henlopen and understand the hype but would also have loved more space between tables.
