Once again Smee’s won my heart. It was my second time there and this time I had a 2 piece fish and salad meal. To my great surprise my side salad was a spinach salad with a delicious orange vinaigrette dressing and mandarin oranges. Sure wasn’t expecting that ! Of course I could I gobbled up every little bit of that tartar sauce, it tastes better than any tartar sauce I’ve ever had. Sadly the recipe is a secret, and yes I asked 🙂

I had the fish and chips it was a generous portion and very tasty and stayed crisp even after sitting in a Togo box so they most definitely got their batter right I’ll go back again soon staff was also very speedy and friendly
My sister Serena who works at Rounds told me about this amazing Salmon that she had eaten from a food truck and all I could think was.....in Reno, noooooo. I have not found Reno to have a lot of great seafood. Last night I had the opportunity to taste no only the salmon but also the skewered shrimp and I am now a believer. Both had the most amazing freshness and flavor. I will be going back for more
The only fish I will eat! I have tried fish many times and just can't do it. Eating at Smee's made me think I liked fish now, however 2 fish dinners from other places later, I realized it's just his fish!
Best fish and chips I’ve had in a long time! My two young boys loved the cod fish and chips! I had the special - catfish. Both are served with a nice tartar sauce and a side of great, lightly dressed slaw. Surprised they are in the food court! This is sit-down restaurant quality! ��
Excellent fish and chips. Owner was wonderful. The fish was fresh and firm and the batter was light and crispy, not greasy. Very tasty homemade tarter sauce. Totally worth it, even though it is in a mall food court.

Very tasty food the frys were nice and crispy and nothing was oily and that seems to be really had to find in reno I hope in the future that they will add clam strips to the menu cuz that will make me super happy
The best, freshest fish n' chips in the area! Always delicious and crispy. Fries are excellent and the staff is the friendliest you can find. I'm going to try the fish sandwich next.

Just had the fish tacos. They were amazing. I didn't think anything could top the fish & chips but the tacos with the mango salsa were to die for
Have seen this food truck around finally went and tried it and I'm no fan of fish but OMG I cannot tell you how much I love their fish and chips! Everything looks so good comes out super fast and fresh no nasty fish taste or smells here! 5stars worthy for a reason!
Finally made it to Smee's Alaskan Fish Bar after months of trying to make time to try them. After talking to Captain Jon Smee who is just a super nice guy about fishing I grabbed a few things. The Cod Chowder, The Grilled Sockeye Salmon and of course the Fish and Chips. The Cod Chowder was very good, great flavor with big pieces of Cod and potatoes. The Sockeye was grilled with a wonderful Asian inspired glaze on top of rice and the Fish and Chips. Oh man the Fish and Chips, he batters them right in front of you. Super clean tasting Cod, right amount of crunch of the batter and with some of my favorite malt vinegar it's great. What makes it better is his house made Tarter Sauce. His tartar Sauce is amazing. I could eat that sauce by itself. I could eat it on a shoe. It's that good.
I had the cheeseburger and it was so amazing. I will always come to Smees and order every time when I can and I would most definitely recommend my friends and family to come here.

Simply the best fish & chips in Reno. The batter makes everyone an instant fan. The tartar sauce with dill & capers is a unique twist that makes even more fans. I and several other addicted customers can actually eat the remaining tartar when the fish is gone! It that DAMN good, 99.9% of Reno Foodies agree.
We also liked the Cod Chowder. Add some cornbread at home for magic. The owner, Jon is a nice guy to chat with and is passionate about his product, sourcing and great service.
They have the best catfish in town. I don’t have to travel to Cali or Vegas any more when I’m craving it

Today my husband and I decided to try the fish and chips and we are so glad we did. The fish was cooked to perfection and really great service. They also gave us a sample of the cod chowder and it was really good. We will definitely be back, maybe to try some of the other things on the menu.
Smees is the best! I love their fried oysters and of course the cod!
