Service was friendly, there is indoor and outdoor/patio bar areas. They have an interesting choice of menu items from steaks to sandwiches to sushi. They also validate and have discounts for nearby parking garages so ask the host or bartender. I tried their French dip which was really good but pricey ($21).
Absolutely the best restaurant experience I've had anywhere. After the day we had it was a pleasant experience. We were in Pittsburgh for our flight to Denver which had a layover in Chicago. The flight got cancelled due to all the different weather issues. The soonest flight out to Denver was tomorrow out of Dulles. So we drove over 4 hours from Pittsburgh. Loved the experience after a long and stressful day. Thank you!!!!
We've been to Jackson's a number of times, and we really like it here. Their calamari is outstanding. The lobster roll is delicious, and my husband likes the grouper fingers. Their salads are very good as well. The service is hit or miss, but overall we really enjoy eating here.
Everything was superb. Grade: A-
Jackson’s lives up to the outstanding reputation of its siblings in the Great American Restaurants group. In a recent conversation about their restaurants with an executive chef at a local high-end establishment, we both said that they share one important trait – consistency. Jackson’s met the standard with ease.
The service is excellent, with all of the wait staff extremely knowledgeable and ready to help. It is a little loud, especially at the bar side, its only drawback in our book. But the food is, and should be, why you want to come here.
Every dish was designed by someone who knew food and prepared by someone who knew how to prepare it. Starting with the appetizers, deviled eggs with spiced pecans & sugar cured bacon were addictive, with an odd combination of flavors that works beautifully. Crispy sweet & sour calamari were wonderful and abundant.
It’s rare that I’m blown away by a salad, but Billy's chop house salad, mixed greens with a number of ingredients including fresh corn off the cob, has an incredible buttermilk herb dressing that almost had me licking up the leftovers.
Grouper fingers, presented as fish & chips, were perfect. No less exquisite was the huge portion of prime rib, made even better with their grated horseradish.
Every aspect of the meal was flawless, and it would take a mere mention of Jackson’s to bring me back.
Great outside bar. The open air bar is great, and the bar staff very friendly - a credit to the place.
Very enjoyable. Great service, everything we had was perfectly done and flavorful and prepared interestingly. Highly recommended.
Not a place to find something unique but very consistent in quality. Staff was very attentive and quick. Reasonably quiet and good for a business meeting. But... the menu is pretty much a clone of all the other brands in the chain with sweetwater tavern. And priced the same.
Yum yum!!! We started a great evening off at this restaurant & the food, drinks & service was wonderful. I look forward to going there again.
The lobster bisque was just ok. I enjoyed the lobster roll and fries.
Fantastic! Great appetizers, creative entres, and perfect deserts. Their bread pudding is superb.
Attentive Service. With so many restaurant options in the general area, the thing that can really set one apart from the other can be the service, and Jackson's excels with this. Food is great as well!!
Delicious food. Fantastic service. Everything you would expect from GAR.
Food was flavorful although waiter was suggesting food Amd drinks that were no longer avaiilable and waiter got 1 of our meals wrong which took a long time to correct. Service was inimpressive.
The salad at Jacksons is not near as good as the house salad at Mike's or Sweet water. The trout was excellent.
It's really good. They say no take out, but you can get things boxed and brought home at least. Really good service and kid friendly
Good food and great service. Like all of the restaurants in this chain, the filet minion is fantastic.
Great food! Very accomadating! Fantastic service! Family owned local business! Restaurant created to keep the memory of Bill Jackson alive!
Love coming back to Jackson’s! My go to place for deviled eggs, prime rib, ribeye, salmon salad, burgers and their best buns! I’ve tried just about everything on the menu. Look forward to visiting when I’m in town.
Another awesome dining experience, thank you for making dessert the way we like it
We enjoyed the atmosphere and had very little wait time to be seated for a Saturday evening. Our food service was good. The crab croquet appetizer was deliciously perfect! My sea bass was a bit undercooked so I left those parts on the plate (I was too tired to complain) and my daughter's salmon was overcooked as it was drier than we preferred. The gluten free chocolate waffle dessert was great, but the bread pudding was drier than expected but still had good flavor. We will return and try other things on the menu.
We have been dining at the Great American restaurants for years. Jacksons in RTC is one we have been frequenting but I never thought to review it.
The service is as it is at other GA restaurants. Refills on drinks before asking, always attentive. The food is consistently great. Something for everyone.
Prime rib and the salmon are our regulars.
These guys cover parking during the week if paying for parking is a deterrent.
Good place to get lunch, plenty of options to pick from here. The service is good and the food is very tasty and delicious! This location also validates parking at Reston Town Center parking garages. The dessert options here look tasty as well, although I never saved room for any before!
French Dip: 9.5/10 (bread was perfectly soft). Filet Mignon: 8.5/10 (would be even better with a béarnaise sauce). Corn on the Cob: 10/10. Grilled Broccoli: 10/10 (superb lemon zest and Parmesan). Artichoke Dip: 9.5/10 (loved the Parmesan and chip saltiness). Total was $83.74 before tip (also included 1 soda).
Outstanding! Food was fresh, my server was exceptional, friendly and engaging. This place is huge on the inside, and also had plentiful outdoor seating. I got the crab cakes, and there was literally NO filler, it was all meat. I can't remember the sauce that came with it, but it was amazing! Fries were crispy, hot, and perfectly seasoned. Great vibe, super friendly staff, they also have gluten free offerings. Check it out next time you're in the area.
Best server ever, ask for Michelle! She was so kind and super attentive. We started with the calamari and the tuna poke, always so delicious. I then got the salmon and it is consistently so flavorful with the slightly smoky flavor and always well cooked. Jackson’s never misses.
I've been to other great American chain restaurants but happened to be in the area for Jackson. Overall atmosphere is great as always and the service was good. For the food, tried the deviled eggs which I had not seen before. The eggs were really creamy, and the candied bacon was a nice touch. Jambalaya pasta was good and tasty as expected. Nicely cooked on the pasta and the sauce was very creamy tying the dish together very well. Jackson's among the other great American restaurants are a great staple to NOVA.
Another gem from The Great American Restaurant chain. Dinner and service was exceptional. We had a wonderful time, thank you for the hospitality. I would rate my customer experience five stars and would highly recommend.
Food and setting was excellent! The 40s aesthetic is really nice and gives the place a really cozy vibe. Highly recommend the Hong Kong style sea bass.
I invited my friends for dinner and we all enjoyed the delicious food. Alejandra was super nice and helpful, we had a question regarding one of the menus so she asked the chef to come and answer our questions. I am so glad that my office is on the corner so I can come more often to this amazing place.
My son takes me here whenever I'm in Reston. It has always been perfect. This time, the shrimp dish is no longer on the menu, and the bread arrived as we were finishing our meal. I asked and was told more was being baked, but other people were still getting the bread, just not my son and I. The calamari is still the best I've had anywhere. I hope the shrimp dish returns to the menu.
First of all, the bread basket is insanely good. Like I could have eaten that all night.
I order the crab and corn chowder for a starter, it was good but would have preferred it a little more spicy but that's only because I've had it somewhere that had it with a kick so that's what I compare it too.
My sister ordered the pasta and loved it. But the warm goat cheese salad was very delicious. Overall very good and great customer service
This is such a fantastic restaurant. Fun, interesting environment and a good staff.
The food is exceptional! I highly recommend starting with the deviled eggs. I don't generally like then, bit the flavor profile on these blew my mind.
The Drunken Ribeye is one of the best steaks I've had. It has a bold, dark flavor so if you prefer the pure flavor of straight beef, I'd recommend the Steak Frites instead.
This was such a great experience that we returned fir a second meal during our trip.
Post pandemic this has become my favorite restaurant in the area when I come to visit.
The food is consistently delicious, staff is nice and the menu is honest. What do I mean by honest? The pricing is reasonable and you get what you expect. There are no hidden credit card fees, no pandemic surcharges (others are still doing this in 2023), no automatic tip.
The menu is varied with something for everyone and what they do, they do well.
My first time dining here and I have just one word for both the service and dining experience……EXCELLENT. From the initial greeting to our goodbye the service was great. I travel 18 days a month with work and over the past year and a half restaurant service has been dismal. Jackson’s exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be back. I am sorry I didn’t get names but their staff were all polite, attentive and awesome. Every bite of every dish we had was great. You HAVE to get the pumpkin cheesecake! Thank you for having a great staff that made our lunch experience awesome!
Fun vibe here, with awesome food and drinks.
Came here in two separate occasions and had great food and drinks both times! The bartenders were also fun to chat with and indulge our requests.
We got the blue crab and shrimp fritters and the lobster rolls, which were both awesome!
My date and I wanted to try something new in the Reston town center area and it was a good experience. Staff were surprisingly friendly which is sad to type out but a reality in my restaurant experience. Food - appetizers, sushi, sandwiches, seafood, meats, chicken/pasta and kids sections on the menu. You’ll be able to fine something on the menu. I got the tuna and my date got the salmon which were both really tasty! I got a classic, family and sports vibe from the dining room myself but it was a good experience. Bathroom was clean as well. Overall, I would recommend this place.
Jackson's is part of the great American restaurant family of restaurants. You will always have great food options, atmosphere and quality. We love the smoked salmon, drunken ribeye, prime rib, calamari, tuna poke 2.0, and Ozzie rolls. Their deserts are wonderful especially their flourless chocolate cake and homemade ice creams. To phrase it another way, if you don't love something here it is not because of the lack of quality, preparation or presentation of the dish. They also have a separate menu for those with gluten sensitivities. They'll readily make other food adjustments upon request. They have plenty of staff to ensure your dining needs are cared for. Absolutely recommend Jackson's Mighty Fine Food and Lucky Lounge!
