This is the best bento box / sushi place I have found in Dallas. The bento boxes are excellent at lunch and the basil chicken in my favorite main course dish there. Definitely the best quality bento box I ever had in the lower 48! The bento combo comes with miso soup and a salad, before the box arrives.
Good find!. We stumbled upon this place because many other sushi places are closed on Sundays. It was good & will be coming back!
Delicious & Friendly!. Some of the nicest people who work there, and the food was wonderful! I will be going back again in the near future! A+
The best, most authentic sushi I have ever had. This is the best Sushi I have ever had. In my life.
This is the best sushi grill ever. I have gone to this resturant scine i was little and i it is still a treat to go. Also ive tryed sushi all around the country and this place has stayed my favorite. They not only make good sushi but entres too.
This is my favorite place. J19 is my fave order. I hope my family gets the hint and takes me here for b-day, Father's Day,etc.
Ok place. Service was ok. Food was ok. Price was ok. Nothing outstanding but.....ok.
Genruko. My wife took me to this place, and when I walked in and saw we were the only white people in there, I knew I was in for a treat. It's not a trendy franchise but a mom-and-pop hole-in-the-wall. The place was very clean, the service was polite and friendly, the sushi was AMAY-ZING, and we got out of there for under 50 dollars. I think we had about 8 different kinds of sushi and were barely able to fit out the door when we were done. :P
*Highly recommend*.
Try: spicy salmon, eel, volcano sushi, squid and lots of wasabi! :D
Don't try the "calamari". When we asked if they had calamari they came out with grilled squid instead of fried. Weird sauce, not good.
The sushi made up for it.
Genroku rules! I always try a restaurant at least twice before I review it, but Genroku is the rare exception that only one visit will be enough to prove it's high quality. The food is great and the group servings allow you to try different dishes. To sum the experience up: I'll definetly be a life-long customer!
Very Good!!! Jack and I will be back. We love the California and Cajun rolls.
Food is cheap and tasty, service is literally always awful without exception. Been going there for years and probably won't stop, but it'd be nice if the waitstaff were nicer. Still, the bentos are a great deal. The eel bowl isn't very good, though. Oh well!
I love genroku. I even had my 21st birthday dinner there.
Well, after coming here for two years, I think it is great. The California Rolls are great, I've tried all the other sushi joints in town. If you go to it for some time, the staff starts to reckognise you as a regular. I love it and there is no other subsitutions.
1st visit.... Service was very slow, prices very reasonable and affordable. I tried the house fried rice which was very tasty for the beginner.
My first time here .I ordered the Basil chicken & Snow pea leaf with rice . The Food was amazing. The chicken was tender and juicy and the snow pea leaf was surprisingly flavorful. I have added this place to my list of go to’s . I would Definitely recommend
If you're looking for an authentic experience of a traditional fusion of Japanese & Taiwanese cuisine, this is the place! I've eaten here for over the past 8 years and can tell you their food is incredible. If you're lucky enough to be served by the owner nicknamed "crazy mama", she treats everyone like family! Located in the heart of China Town | DFW, Genroku is a great place for family and friends to meet together and share a meal with great taste, value and portions. Would definitely recommend checking this place out!
Genroku is a restaurant you should add to your list of places to try! They’re still going strong over a decade and thriving through a pandemic. The same lady has been here since I started eating here in 2009 and she still remembers my order 😍🥹. Support this local gem!

What I order:
• spicy beef tendon
• boneless basil chicken
• tomato & egg
• mapo tofu
Haven't dined here in a few years but it used to be our Sunday lunch destination. Service is very friendly and food and sushi are the best. Try these menu items: snow pea leaves (the best!), sushi with lots of pickled ginger, salt and pepper fish, basil chicken (they have boneless), tilapia, and nabeyaki udon,

THIS was my favorite restaurant in Dallas before I moved to away 10 years ago. It's my first stop from the airport no matter what time of day. The Mapo Tofu with STEAMED Fish is my dish and I will always be grateful for the GREAT Service from Sue, DD, and Yung Kwan and the fabulous Chef who makes this dish the most fabulous piece of fish I've ever eaten.
Still great after all these years. Salt and pepper fish, pork with dried bean curd and bamboo shoots, snow pea leaves and beef are some of my faves!!
Always a pleasure eating here . The service is a lil stiff and old school but the food makes up for it. Feels like one of the hole in the walls that everyone knows about the word of mouth . Fresh food and sashimi for a great night . Would def recommend people in north Dallas to check out .
