I had the pleasure of experiencing TJ's for the first time today, and I have found my new favorite hot dog place in the world, no small feat since I am from Chicago.
How do I love TJ's? Let me count the ways:
1. TJ, the man behind the dawg house, rules. He's been in the business for about 15 years, after getting downsized by IBM, and he does EVERYTHING by himself, from baking his own bread-buns, to picking up the best dogs-sausages available in the nation (many made in Chicago) from the source, to the other hundreds of things required to successfully run a small business like this. TJ is awesome, friendly and personable, the kind of person you'll drive 20 miles out of your way to support, and to enjoy the best quality dogs and sausages around.
2. Fantastic variety and quality of menu offerings. On my first visit, I had a jumbo Chicago Dog and and Italian Sausage sammie with grilled onions and peppers, both top tier offerings you won't find any real competition for in the metroplex, or within hundreds of miles for that matter, based on my own (thorough) hot dog-sausage monitoring radar. The two sammies constituted about 10% of his offerings, served quickly and flawlessly from his food truck.
I will be back to TJ's regularly going forward, and I recommend you do the same :P
T.J.'s is EXCELLENT! Great food, for a great price. It's super fast too. T.J. is awesome to interact with and it's sooooooo good. #7 best of both worlds (chicago dawg and italian beef) CAN'T go wrong!!
Awesome food at great prices. Only place in texas to get true chitown late nite after the club food.
Best Dogs in North Texas..Authentic taste from the East Coast..the price is unbeatable and the taste will get you hooked! Try the homemade Slaw.. it’s a family recipe that will make your mouth water. A++++++ Recommend!
Just had a polish kielbasa. Legit the best dog truck in DFW!
My hubby goes at least once a week. I love his philly steak. His hotdogs. TJ is such a great person. Very friendly. Love everything about this place.
If you want the best 1/4 pound hot dog you ever had, get to TJ's Doghouse. It sits just outside the Christmas Tree shop in Williston! I recommend the house special with chili and cheese!!!!
Yesterday was mine and my mother's first visit. I don't know why we've waited SO LONG to experience this place. SUCH a great guy and the food... Our favorite hot dog eatery. We will be back, for sure.

If you haven't been here, you DEFINITELY need to add it to your to do list! Went with my husband today. We were debating who was going to get the chili cheese dog and who was going to get the Italian beef sandwich(for us to split and share). We do this kinda thing quite often if there are multiple items we want to try. We both got both! Hands Down the BEST dog I've had, I think, ever! I've never had an Italian beef sandwich before today, but I see many more in my future! You won't leave there hungry. TJ, you're truly an awesome dude with an awesome product. Enjoyed our time with you today and look forward to many more visits. Will bring the family to see you soon.
I love this place. T.J.'s always there to greet you and who doesn't love a huge dog with chili and cheese?!
Best Dawgs I've had! My son asked me to take him twice in one day so he could have a chilli cheese dawg. It's that good!!

I'm not really a hot dog lover, but I've passed by him literally the last decade and today I was like, WTHeck! YOLO, right?! 🤷🏽♀️ Lol! I got The West Virginia Slaw Dog. Surprisingly ate the whole thing!!! It was very flavorful and delish. I tried some of that "forest green color relish" and it was also yummy! His food truck is very unique and kept clean!!!! I sat in the parking lot to eat and once the customers left he came out to sanitize all stations and touch points! Gave this germaphobe chills! 🥰 Phenomenal customer service & decent prices!!!! He's located in the Lowe's parking lot in Richardson.
I was recently was turned on to Italian beef sandwiches from my boss who is from the Chicago area. Look if your in Texas and never tried one it will be life changing. So far I’ve had a few different places this is hands down the best one and the best price I’ve paid for one. This guy has it figured out.
Hard to find a great consistent dog and for less than $$ but you'll find it here. Tried the regular dog and Italian beef and both got 5 stars. Dog had good bite and fresh beef dog flavor. Italian was as messy as it was good!
The owner started the experience off on a high note with a pleasant welcome and answers to any questions. Really thought provoking options but we left knowing we would be back to try something different. Great one-man shop - makes you feel good to support a small business.

The best place for an italian beef in the entire dfw area and the best I have ever had. My kids absolutely love this place and the owner is super friendly. Great dogs and great prices. My personal favorite is the slaw dog. Check them out!
We've become regulars the past few years and Everytime it's consistent. Delicious. Fun loving, friendly, and passionate about his food.
You're always getting a smile with your meal even when it's hotter than Satan's armpits out there.
The condiments are always full, fresh and clean. Service is fast and well organized, great products for a reasonable price. Totally worth the venture out to Lowes (or wherever they may be)
New to the area and have been wanting to check this place out and so I did. I even brought my nephew who was in town. We are both true Chicagoans and love our city. This place passed the test!
Awesome place. TJ is a great stand alone guy! And his dogs are to die for❣️ paired with a four bullets boxcar Porter. Man, Heaven in Richardson.
OMG!!!! Absolutely delicious. I've only been twice and tried the classic chili dog and pulled pork. I've been to dozens of bbq places and have eaten alot of pulled pork sandwiches. These are the best I've ever eaten. They are huge too. I made 2 meals off of it. I just scraped the meat outta bun and put on another bun and it was just as good as the day before. The service is excellent. Guys super friendly also. Well definitely be going often.
