The food is sooooo good. The service is good. The chicken samosa is delicious. The Beef curry is absolutely to die for. We also had the butter chicken. The price is very decent. The food is authentic and spicy. You have to try the chai tea.
Good place for authentic Bangladeshi foods. Everything we tried was really good both in flavors and portions. They asked us for spice level and we asked to make it as they would back home and they clearly did! Everything was really spicy! So I would advise to ask for less spicy if too much heat is a concern.
We had the pomfret curry. The fish was fried and then made in curry. The recipe was tasty with the right combination of spices and tomatoes. The fish wasn't smelly and I liked that it wasn't too oily of a dish. It came with white rice and a small portion of daal (lentil soup). The daal was very good and a bit spicy.
We also ordered beef curry. The meat was well cooked and the right amount of tenderness. The gravy was thick and is not runny which I liked as I was actually wanted beef rezala but it wasn't on the menu. This was a good replacement and was very tasty. This came with polao rice which was also good.
The other dish we ordered was the goat kacchi biryani. While it wasn't the "biye barir kacchi" recipe I was craving, it was still very tasty. I liked that it was authenticly Bangladeshi in its seasoning and preparation.
We also ordered nuggets and fries for the kiddo. It was bland and basic for the kids.
Food has to be ordered at the counter. There was only one guy working while we were there. He took our order and was very friendly and personable. It's so rare to get decent service at these places so this was a pleasant surprise. However, I don't doubt any reviews that complain of bad service. Your results may vary!
I would definitely come back to try some other items, especially since the only other restaurant serving Bangladeshi foods nearby seems to not care about running a business anymore.
I recently moved to the area and was looking for some good Indian Restaurants. We came across Spice and Rice and we couldn't be happier with this place. First, let me tell you that the food is very good, spicy but not overwhelming. Keep in mind you can always ask for more. My experience with other Indian restaurants has been that most dishes are made mild on purpose. And if you ever had a homemade meal from an Indian family, you know most dishes are pretty spicy.
I love the food here and as I said, the owner is very kind and attentive. He will ensure you have a good experience and make you want to come back! Give this restaurant a try. You'll be surprised!
Spice and rice ifter box is great. Comes lots of food. Halim, tehari, Semai, beguni, piazu, chili pakora, alu chhop and more... i like all the food here. good quality food
I come here for my favorite dish of theirs - their Goat Biriyani @ $12.99 a piece. On my most recent visit there, my takeout order took a little longer than usual, but the food was amazing. It was difficult to drive 30 minutes home with the sensory aroma of their food. To tame everyone's senses, we had their beef samosas @ $1.49 a piece, and that also was very delicious. I have been coming here for the last several years. It is one of our family's favorite places to eat from. The guy at the front desk was very friendly. Overall a very great experience, time and time again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 STARS from me!!
Their beef Tehari alone deserves five star. Great food in a good price. Clean place. Only reason for a four star is because of their glasses. Glasses should be washed a little better. I have been going there for three years now and love their food. I also cater from them for small house parties.
