Recently changed name to ALLIGATOR COVE to reflect Cajun emphasis. We had one of the best meals of our lives here! Chef Drew, with true Cajun roots, prepared first a SPECTACULAR GUMBO, alone worth the trip! We followed this with fried alligator appetizer, followed by baby grilled lamb chops cooked to perfection, surrounding melt in your mouth mashed potatoes, with perfectly prepared grilled asparagus.
We've eaten all over the world in our 60 years, and this was one of our favorite meals! They are a start up, so don't expect much re decor, but the owner was present throughout, and if people figure out how awesome this place is it will take off!!!!!
Very delicious Cajun style place!! And not too expensive either. Highly recommend trying this place. I went with my fiancee, and we had a sampler with crawfish etoufee, shrimp Creole, and fish planks. We also tried the seafood gumbo (a must try!!). And begniets for dessert. The staff was amazing, attentive, and friendly. The decor is a little bare right now, but this is a new start-up and it will only get better. Try this place!
Yummy new restaurant right around the corner from our shop. They have delicious Jambalaya, Red Beans and Rice, Etoufee, gumbo & lots of other wonderful dishes. Beginet's and bread pudding looked wonderful. Fried shrimp and their potato chips amazing. Service fast and friendly.
I love food! I love eating it, I love cooking it, watching people cook it, reading about and watching cooking shows on TV. So each time I get a chane to go to the Alligator Cove, I am super excited. The food is absolutely ridiculous! I had the Seafood Bisque and Crabs Cakes for the appetizer the last time I went. And the Catfishe plate for the entree...I'm not over exaggerating when I say it was in the top 5 Best Meals of my life! If you think Im not telling the truth....go try it for yourself. Go on...try it.
Everything I have had is good. The presentation is good and the wait staff is very nice. My girlfriend also enjoys eating their. in fact we are eating there tomorrow night for a special valentine's dinner
I've heard a lot of good things about this place and finally found it. For some reason I had it stuck in my head it was in Jason's Deli parking lot. It's not. It's further North on Coit.
Really good Cajun food reasonably priced and fantastic service. I will be back
If you are looking for some Louisiana charm, then you don't wanna pass this place up!! It's hard to find that Cajun/Creole flair in Texas but I found it here.
