I've eaten spinach soup, red bean soup, curry chicken, and Bake and Jerk sandwich from here.
The food is homemade, which is refreshing. The soups are delicious and simple. The bake n jerk was amazing, with nice and crisp bread.
The curry for the chicken wasn't thick and dark how some make it, so heads up on that.
Overall this place is a nice addition to the neighborhood with great prices and vegetarian options. I come here almost daily to at least get a soup.

I was craving curry chicken (in walking distance) and my mind went to one of my favorite Black-Owned restaurants in Richmond Hill, Soup Junkies.
It's located at the end tip of Kew Gardens and at the head of Richmond Hill. If you are not driving you can take the J,M,Z train or the Q10 bus to get here.
I came across this place a few years ago while picking up pizza at Dominos which is next door and once I took a look at the menu I automatically regretted getting the pizza because I could have gotten some good home style food instead. From that day I vowed to go to try a lot of the items on the menu at Soup Junkies.
The menu is straight forward, you can order a variety of soups, they have a lunch special for the chicken and fish dishes where the portions are smaller. I would definitely go for the bigger dinner portions.

Corn Soup
Oxtail Soup
Curry Chicken (it was seasoned to perfection, this is my go-to when I order from here, the cabbage is not cooked down much so it has a crunch)
Jerk Chicken (if you like it spicy this is for you, if you don't like saucy jerk chicken this is not for you but you are into finger licking jerk rather than dry, this is great)
If you plan on dining here, the restaurant is pretty small so only about 2-3 people can sit in (Pre/Post COVID).
The staff here is super helpful and friendly.
They currently offer delivery and pick-up.
Excellent food. Very clean establishment. Prices are fair and you get alot of food. Also vegetarian options are delicious. Will be coming back again soon.
The jerk chicken with beans and rice is always very delicious here. I’ve never tried anything else even though I want to, but eveytime I get here I always end up choosing the same as previous. I’m sure the others are as tasty. The staff is always friendly and willing to make your meal an enjoyable one. Price is not bad...

Best Chicken soup I’ve ever had in my entire life! Soooo yummy! With dumplings and corn and other stuff. The flavor is just incredible.
I was wondering what all the hype of this restaurant was about...till I tried their mouth watering food and was mind blown by all the bursting flavors. Service is great and I highly recommend Soup Junkies to everyone looking for a tasty meal.
