Large menu with lots of variety! Loved that you can have lots of different beers while watching sports and can order authentic vietnamese dishes! It's not a typical vietnamese restaurant at all. They don't have flights if you are sitting on the restaurant side, but if you sit at the brew pub side, you can order flights. We stagger order our dishes so we can enjoy watching the game and drinking craft beers. Order seems to come out rather quickly each time. Service was good. They were attentive. Restaurant is large and has plenty of seating.

This is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in RVA. I’ve been coming here regularly for 12 years. The food is always consistently fantastic. I have yet to order something I did not like. I Love trying the different beers they have on tap. It can get quite busy even on weekdays so service can be slow at times but it is well worth the wait in my opinion. Restaurant can use some updating but I like that they have lots of seating and can accommodate large groups. We have Never had to wait to be seated. Lots of taps And a well stocked bar. If you have not been to this restaurant you need to try it at least once and you won’t regret it.

I always recommend to anyone going through Richmond that they stop here! I was able to grab lunch there today and as usual had a great experience. We got an appetizer sampler - the fried dumplings were great but weren’t super excited by the spring rolls. I got the beef with mixed vegetables and it was delicious! The beef with garlic sauce was also tasty. Of course we had to have some beer as well. They were out of their Answer beer so I tried a different stout and we also tried an IPA. As usual great beer selection. This was the first time I sat in the main dining room and I enjoyed it. Nice atmosphere with the bar behind you. There are other rooms that are more quite and private as well.

Another one of my favorite establishments on earth, such a unique gem. Happens to be adjacent to The Answer (same owner). Expansive menu of authentic Vietnamese food that is prepared with fresh ingredients and served in appropriate portions (large for entrees). World class craft beer selection that is constantly changing. Servers are very well trained and know their beer and of course the menu. A must visit (at least once 😋) every time I'm in RVA.

One idea the best, down to earth places to eat in Richmond. The food is phenomenal! I've tried the roll your own spring rolls, as well as a variety of the noodle dishes and I've enjoyed everything. The service was quick and the staff is very kind. The beer selection is one of the best in the city and really cool way to explore craft beer with really yummy food. 10/10 would recommend and we will be back time and time again.

17yrs ago took my wife here for our first date. Have always loved the food here. Not sure if I've just hit a few fluke items here last few visits, but some of the things seems to be not as good. My last visit they were out of each appetizers I tried to order. Got a couple of Shrimp/Pork rolls, but honestly the pork was a little... umm guess gamey is the best word. Pho was really good though. Also got there Vietnamese crepes and it was really good. Staff is always friendly and fast moving. It can get pretty busy especially since it's one of the best beer places you can find. They have a massive selection to choose from. There are 4 seating areas and a good sized bar. There has been a pretty good crowd lately watching the World Cup. Its a staple of Richmond and easy to get to being right on Broad Street. Limited parking up front, but ample parking in the back.

The beer...the food...amazing! My favorite place in Richmond...and we drive 50 miles to go there! The asparagus and tofu dish is marvelous, seafood with lemongrass divine. Fabulous selection of IPA's. We usually sit at a hightop in the bar area for a fun evening

I'll say first, #1 place to go for top rated beer selection. They have all the highly rated breweries on tap for $8, no matter what it is. Now, food wise, it's so disappointing. Lack of meat in the pho, all the dishes are not very good. It seems like the effort is no longer into making the food. It might have been good once, but it is not now. We won't be back for the food, but we will be back for the beer!

Went for my birthday dinner with friends; it was a party of 13. The staff quickly got us seated and orders taken. The food was brought out in a timely manner and was delicious, especially the crispy spring rolls! The beer selection was extensive so everyone in our group was able to find something.

Stumbled into this place during my visit to Richmond and it didn't disappoint. Ended up visiting here twice during my stay. Had both Hu Tieu Dac Biet and Canh Chua Ca, both tasted pretty good. I think the food was pretty close to what i know of Vietnamese food in SoCal and Southeast Asia. I would definitely go back next time I'm in the area again. As a bonus, this place is also a bar and serves a decent selection of beers.

This restaurant prides itself on its extensive beer list, and it definitely deserves it! The draft list is massive! Something for everyone on there. The menu is large with a lot of good options for varying taste buds. Service was quick and we got our drinks and food at a good speed. For the drinks, we each ordered a different beer, and mine came out fairly warm which was unexpected. The pho wasn’t bad but it was nothing great. Overall, the service is what brought up the grade or the restaurant as a whole.

I was craving Pho for a few days and ventured out from my usual in Cary town. The regular chicken pho portion was just right for my hunger. The service was quick. This place is next to The Answer Brewery so they have a beer for everyone’s liking. I would visit this place for Pho and beer again. Delicious!

I’ve been going to Mekong since 2008 and it’s come such a long way since then. I still visit at least several times a year, especially in the colder months or on cold days. The food is always solid, around the same quality as the nearby Vietnamese restaurants at a reasonable price. One thing that sucks is, you don’t always receive the bean sprouts, basil, lime, and jalapeños when you order the pho or noodle soup. A lot of times I have to ask for it. Sometimes they’ll only bring out a lime and a couple jalapeño slices, but I love the bean sprouts and basil so it can be a bit of a bummer when they don’t bring that out. Drinks: I don’t drink beer anymore because of a recently discovered gluten allergy, but their house made beers have been some of the best beers I’ve ever drank in the past. I always loved their stouts; they had this one chocolate, coffee, coconut stout that had me having dreams about it years ago! I still remember that stout fondly and get sad that I can’t drink beer anymore. They have wines and usually have a small selection of seltzers, ciders, and/or mead for those who are also GF or don’t like beer. Service: service can be a hit or miss here. They get INSANELY busy at times, so it makes sense that it takes your server a long time to take your order, bring your food, or get back to you. When they’re less busy, the service is great. The food comes out fast, the drinks come out fast, and your water glass is refilled really quickly. Note: if this is your first time at a Vietnamese restaurant, you pay up front. The server gives you a hand written list of items ordered and you bring it to the front to pay. This is pretty standard at Vietnamese restaurants, although at some other restaurants sometimes the person at the cash register will memorize your order somehow. This restaurant is too big and busy so they give you your itemized list to bring up front. Overall I always recommend this to people who love beer and also people who want some pho. I always look forward to going here.

Good food and service here. Can't really complain. I didn't think the food was stand out good though. I had the pho it was just okay. If I were to return I would get something else.

I've been to a sleuth of Viet spots in my life, but I'm not an expert still. The food here is great, clean, fresh, great soup, great grilled beef. Only one waiter for the whole spot and he left us hanging for the larger tables... Hence the 4 star. Word is bond kiddy.

The restaurant was cold and lacked decor. The waiters were nice but laid back and forgot to give us our check.

Now this is a place that I was supremely surprised at! Nondescript building on the outside but WHOA! The inside is beautiful and the food is delightful. If you love beer, this is the place for You! I have never seen a more diverse and unusual beer menu.

Great service and food! Wonderful 1st time experience. We ordered both the chicken and shrimp Pho and had the fried dumplings and crispy veggie spring rolls. Fried dumplings were light not heavy fried…loved that. Got the rocket shrimp to go. Will DEFINITELY be a 2nd visit.
