Simply the best Mexican food in Richmond. I'm obsessed with this place! Not only is the food consistently incredible, but the staff is super-friendly and the decor charmingly quirky. The Mariscos is my favorite dish, but the tamales, frijoles charros, and interesting taco specials like corned beef, pork belly, filet, duck, etc are all amazing. Their hand-cut Pico, handmade tortillas and spicy sauces are also on point!

Had dinner here last night for the first time and loved the atmosphere and the food. As someone who had to eat gluten free, seeing a whole menu of gluten free options was amazing! Our waitress was very friendly and helpful with menu recommendations. Happy hour margarita's were great and the guacamole was delicious. Loved the Carne Asada taco! Will definitely be returning.

Hands down the best authentic Mexican food restaurant in Richmond. Even the small hole in the wall places have nothing on Tio Pablo. Brought my parents to this place today and they were super impressed! Next to mom's cooking, this is the best ever. Friendly staff, great atmosphere. Call ahead if you have a large party. You won't retreat coming to Tio Pablo's!

My best friend found and researched this place for my 30th birthday surprise dinner. She knows I have Celiac and I love Mexican. This place was amazing! I loved everything from the atmosphere to the food. Definitely recommend.

The staff are so kind, the food is really fresh, and the atmosphere is super laid back. A nice little gem tucked away in RVA, I can't believe I didn't make it here sooner!

I’ve eaten a lot of huavos rancheros in my life - seriously - from Honduras all the way to Detroit - these are the best I’ve ever had! Service is also good. Not to much interruption but occasional check ins. - I may have to make time for another visit before I fly out tomorrow! Thank you for such an enjoyable meal!

Tio Pablo is my new favorite place. It is 100% gluten free and I am addicted to the Carne Asada Gorditas. Everything is fresh and healthy. The jalapeño margarita was perfect!

As a gluten free family, we were thrilled to find a restaurant where we didn't have to worry about what we could or could not order. The food was great and the service was efficient.

Enjoyed a night out on a trip to Richmond. Was so fortunate to come across a dedicated gluten free restaurant. They are so hard to come by! Appreciated the speedy service. I loved the huevos rancheros.

First time dining here. The house margarita was tasty and is a good value. Their selection of tequilas seemed impressive. What was not impressive were their sauces/dips. The guacamole was absolutely flavorless, the pico just tasted like watery diced tomatoes, and their house-made hot sauces all tasted extremely bland. I appreciate that they had a selection of sauces though. We got tacos and those were pretty good... I really just wanted a nice hot sauce to set it off! The frijoles charros were pretty good as well.

The staff was great! Everyone was so pleasant. Happy hour menu was small but the drinks were pretty good. We had the fish & chicken tacos, both were good & filling. I do recommend. Not wheelchair accessible is one negative. And after happy hour ended one margarita cost a little over $20🙄

Fully gluten-free never tasted so good! My niece is a celiac, it's so relaxing to know she is completely safe when she visits. It really is spectacular and affordable!

We stopped by for a quick afternoon snack and were pleasantly surprised at how quickly we were taken care of. In spite of the fact that there was only one waiter and many tables occupied, Gavin did an exceptional job with an excellent attitude. The food was delicious; the extra plus is the restaurant is dog friendly. I’d definitely come back!

Tacos 🌮, margaritas and it’s all Gluten free! This place had atmosphere and great house margaritas. I had the carne asada Gordita, the tacos el pastor, a carnitas taco and a chicken quesadilla (Togo) and for my desert the tres leches! The flavors reminded me immensely of being back in Mexico! Friendly staff. If I’m ever back in Richmond I’ll be visiting!

Get it for takeout or go inside. I love this place. Always get their homemade tortilla. Service is always their best and their margaritas are amazing. Go here for tacos!! Lots of gluten free options too.

Tacos were good, but the fresh salsas needed depth, and the "spicy" one needed heat. I'm not a "it has to be hot" person, but they were missing something essential, and the salsas make the good, especially when it comes to street tacos. It was nice to not have to worry about gluten cross-contamination. It's a completely gluten-free kitchen and even the burritos and tres leches cake are gluten-free... Unfortunately, they were out of the cake. They were wonderfully friendly and the music was loud and kept my feet tapping.

What a gem! We made a point to stop at this restaurant on our way back from vacation. The food was fresh, homemade, perfect level of heat. You couldn’t ask for better ambiance - Mexican decorations and popular songs playing in Spanish. Our kids delighted in the taco platter while I enjoyed lingua “gorditas” - homemade corn pitas of a sort. Whatever you do remember to order margaritas and churros!!!!

Dedicated gluten free! Yay! Tacos were great. Cheese dip was thicker than a lot of places which I loved. Pico de Gallo was so amazing! I didn't know that pico could be so much better somewhere, it seems such a simple thing but thiers was especially good.

You know when you go without something for a long time and then when you have it again it makes you feel like an idiot for going so long without it?? Or is that just me? Either way, this place is amazing! If you’re reading this and don’t know what to get, get the carnitas tostadas. They were so good! Make sure to get the onions and jalapeños with them! My husband got the steak burrito and loved it! We’ll definitely be back!
