Awesome breakfast and lunch counter with good home cooking and fun offerings like the The Squirrels Nest Breakfast Bowl with eggs, bacon, tater tots and sausage gravy. Add a side of their killer Corned Beef Hash and your good for the morning!

Stopped here for lunch while on a roadtrip. It's a little off the beaten path, but the burgers and service made it worth the detour. Great alternative to fast food chains!

Best breakfast in Richmond! Our first experience there and it certainly delivered. I had the breakfast reuben sandwich with grits and my wife had the BLT. Our friends had an omelette and chicken biscuit and everyone loved their food. Perfect pancakes too. My reuben was delicious but it was a bit much for the bread to handle so I eventually switched to eating it with fork and knife. Not even mad about it because the flavors were impeccable. It’s not a huge place but they have an old diner feel with cool decor like old movie and music posters. Very friendly staff and the service was good. We definitely recommend it!

Food is good! The atmosphere is Richmond for sure. They don’t have a kids menu for all of the parents but you can order a la carte

What a great find! Call it a hole in a wall...I call it great food..strong coffee..personal service and tons of atmosphere. Whether you people watch...need the hair of the dog for recovery...or just want great food..this is it. If pretentious chain locations without a community connection and with outrageous prices bother you...then search out Moore Street Cafe.

A classic dining experience every time. The atmosphere and staff are awesome and the wait time is almost always faster than you think will be. If not, there's a funky waiting area and shop next door complete with bar and pool table.

This is a popular spot, so it’s very crowded inside. The person who waited on me was super kind and inviting. They offer hot sauce made locally that tasted phenomenal on my hash browns. The gravy on the biscuit and gravy was perfect too.

Moore Street Café, ensconced in Richmond's bustling cityscape, is a delectable anomaly. At first glance, it might look like just another diner, but step inside, and you're immediately whisked away into an enchanted world of eclectic charm and heartwarming gastronomy. The décor is a whimsical hodgepodge of vintage charm and artful eccentricities. Every corner is adorned with a surprise, and each piece of decoration has a story, creating a dynamic dining backdrop that's a feast for the eyes. Tucked away in the back is a delightful secret - a cozy little bar, unexpected yet seamlessly integrated, that adds a dash of mystique to the café's character. Now, let's dive into the culinary part of our journey. The sausage gravy and biscuits are a standout, harkening back to simpler times of home-cooked comfort food. The biscuits are fluffy and buttery, cradling the rich, peppery sausage gravy like a culinary sonnet. The gravy, flecked with generous chunks of sausage, is a velvety elixir that awakens the palate with its savory depth. The accompaniment of eggs, cooked precisely to your preference, and bacon, perfectly crisp and wonderfully salty, further elevate this humble dish. Each component shines on its own, but together they harmonize into a symphony of satisfying flavors and textures. Moore Street Café is more than a breakfast spot; it's a place where food, art, and nostalgia intermingle, creating an ambience that's as captivating as its menu. Whether you're a local seeking a change of pace or a visitor in search of an authentic Richmond experience, this café is a discovery worth making. It's a vibrant love letter to home-style breakfasts, a testament to the allure of unexpected charm, and an unforgettable journey for the senses.

The food was good. Got the veggie omelete and hash brown. I added peppers and onions. I was pleasantly surprised when I ordered a MOMosa the waitress knew I meant OJ and ginger ale. It came in a big picture like the other mimosas. The food came out really quickly and it was seasoned well and hot ! The omelet was made with oil which isn’t my preference but overall everything was good. Everything was clean. The bathroom was well stocked and the prices were appropriate. I would return.

Conveniently located! This place is amazing!! The decor is fun and old-timey, and the service was very fast and friendly. I got the breakfast club sandwich and it was easily a top 5 breakfast sandwich for me. Portion size was excellent and the food came out lightning fast even though there were quite a few other customers. The personal pitcher mimosas are a big draw too!! Absolutely going on my rotation for breakfast places.

Amazing food! We arrived and was told it was a 20 minute wait. They have an outdoor waiting area with drinks, shops, and a pool table! Totally distracted us from the wait, although it was really about ten minutes. The food was delicious - I recommend the Squirrel bowl. Great service and the patrons and the restaurant were also as friendly!

One of our favorite spots! Everything is always good. I love the made to order omelette with meat lovers, tomatoes and onions. The mimosas are always delicious and I always start eating before I remember to take my pictures. Street parking is a mess, but find a spot because it is worth! Breakfast and lunch served, but I’ve only had breakfast. I do want to try the Meatloaf Monday though.

Is there anything more Richmond than Moore St? Great staff, mimosas, and food! Not the absolute best you’ve ever had but it’s comfort, good portioned, and pretty quick. The wait can be a little long but the outside bloody and mimosa bar is a great add on. Indoor waiting area with a separate cool art shop attached.

My husband and I went there on our skip day from work and it was worth it! To start it is downtown but there is a lot of street parking. The staff was amazing. We ordered pancakes and French toast and it was great. My husband ordered the pineapple man-mosa and he loved it. I like that they have Turkey options for people that can’t eat pork. we loved the vibe. We will be back for sure!

Best all around breakfast place! Service was excellent, food came fast and everything was cooked to perfection. Eclectic & interesting decor to go along with an amazingly succinct menu. It appears very unassuming from the street. Don't let that fool you as this place is outstanding. Can't wait to go back and try out some lunch dishes!

Very country feel in the restaurant, owners and staff were very friendly and welcoming. I had the breakfast bowl with sausage gravy! It was very good 👍. I will bring my family next time I'm in the area from NC.
