Definitely a cool place. Went for brunch on a Sunday, busy but we had no problem at the bar and bartender was awesome. Didn’t look like a long wait and is worth it if ever in Richmond. Parking can be a nightmare but you’ll eventually find a place like we did. If have patience very fun, probably real fun on weekend nite.

Excellent. I invited 14 friends here to celebrate a birthday. It's great business that they have a super duper happy hour 4-8 because it was packed and we were entertained until a table was ready. High marks to everyone ... front end ... bar keepers ... kitchen and our lovely server!
Went here for Brunch on a Saturday and it was fantastic!! The service was really great and everyone was so hospitable and very kind. The Waffles with the Rum Banana sauce was AMAZING!! The flavored Mimosas and the food were superb. Music was also pretty good - nice vibe!! I really enjoyed it here and will definitely be back!
3 Monkeys Bar & Grill is a happening place that never disappoints. Great selection of beers, great service, great appetizers, great food. Although I'm from out of town, I've been there several times and will go there again whenever the occasion allows.
We participated in the Monument 10K and chose 3 Monkeys as our after the race gathering place. FABULOUS food and atmosphere! The loaded fries and the mimosas where especially good! Highly recommend and will definitely go again!
Excellent craft beer, Excellent service, and Excellent food. Brownie points for them because we chose this place to take my youngest sister out for her 21st birthday. Not only were they extremely cautious of her allergies, but before we left, they gave her a free drink on the house as a birthday gift. What's not to love about this place?

Went for dinner with a friend. Had the blackened salmon and wine. The salmon was delicious but it came with a huge amount of garlic mashed potatoes - almost like the potatoes were the main attraction and the salmon was a side. Overall- pretty good. I’d go back but would likely try something else on the menu.

My wife and I decided to try 3 Monkeys for dinner. We were pleasantly surprised.
We noticed when we arrived that, being in our mid-forties, we were a couple decades older than every other patron in the place. The hostess told us there would be a short wait, so we decided to wait at the bar.
My wife ordered a house cocktail, a Caribbean Monkey, that was quite tasty. I settled for a classic Old Fashioned that was, frankly, one of the best I've had at a bar. The bartenders know their art.
All appetizers were advertised as $5, so we ordered several to sample them. The sausage-stuffed jalapeños were good, as were the braised beef tacos, and they were something different from the regular apps one sees at restaurants, but they weren't exceptional.
I ordered a lamb sausage and shrimp penne dish that was also very good but not over the top good. My wife got another appetizer of Calamari. That was very, very exceptionally good.
The waitress was cheerful, attentive and prompt. We never waited for drink orders to be filled, or plates to be cleared, it was all taken care of quickly.
Overall, I was impressed. The prices were far more reasonable than I had anticipated, the service was great, and the food and drink was very good. It definitely caters to a younger crowd, and, if I had to mention a negative, it's that the noise level was pretty high, more like a bar than a restaurant.
Overall, a very enjoyable experience.
My husband and I went for happy hour and enjoyed incredible appetizers for half off on a Monday. We had the crab dip and cheese fries. They were very large portion sizes and were very filling. the drinks were also very reasonably priced and tasted amazing. With two drinks and two appetizers we spent less that $20 total; I would say that's a great date and a cheap date

Amazing. I went to 3 monkeys a few Sundays ago, and it was incredible. I went with some close friends of mine for dinner and drinks. We decided to sit at a table for dinner, to start we had the baked goat cheese and roasted red peppers, for entrees, it was a mix of NY strips, fresh buffalo mozzarella tomato salads and the rock fish special. Everything was timed appropriately, and cooked correctly, our waitress Megan was excellent and fun. After dinner we moved to the bar to have a few drinks, simply perfect. I will never forget those girls, Ruth and Jamie. They made us feel as if we had been friends for years, also all very attractive, knowledgeable, and witty. They have made a regular for life. Thanks for such a great time, looking forward to the next one.
French dip w/onion straws. The best onion straws in Richmond and a meaty deliciouse French dip. Add mushrooms and mayo. I only wish they would remove the vein of fat that comes in the meat. I always end up removing the meat and picking out the fat. The crab dip was good.
Hear no evil, hear no evil, see no waitress.. Pretty much what you should expect of a fan restaurant in this area. delicious food, horrible service. try the falafel or fresh mozzarella salad.

The service was top notch! The variety on the menu was great, and every person in our group had only positive comments on our evening. We will go back.
Good food, good drinks.. So far I've loved the crab cake sandwich (which was HUGE-- the size of two normal crab cakes), grilled portabella sub, and 3 cheese grilled cheese. The french fries are good, the calimari is great. I don't have a lot of experience with Greek food, but their spanakopita appetizer is delicious-- a little more buttery and less bitter than what I've had at Greek restaurants. It's a little pricey, but worth it. And every time I've gone, I've had good service and really friendly waitstaff.

I went here for brunch and the food and service were great! Nice and cozy with a cute monkey theme! Easy on the pockets, 3 ate for $38 bucks. Will definitely come back!
My party chose 3 Monkeys for Saturday brunch on a whim. We were very impressed. We both had benedicts: she had the traditional while I opted for the chorizo, and we shared an arugula salad. The food was delicious. I found the description in the menu of 'vegetable infused potatoes' confusing - it turns out it simply meant home fries with peppers and onions, which were also very enjoyable.
Our server was perfectly attentive - there when you wanted, friendly, but not bothersome. It was a great brunch shared with family that started our Saturday in a most pleasant way.

Drinks are good. But the food was not that good. I’ve ordered Shrimp tacos and garlic cilantro fries. Both of them were not that good. Shrimp was half cooked.
What a special place! The staff is so welcoming and happy, the atmosphere is so relaxed, and the food is absolutely delicious. Everything on the menu is a great choice, there are no "filler" items, and they offer gluten-free substitutions. We got to meet the owner and the cook who are so kind and passionate about what they do; and we had the best host/waiter ever, his name was Carmine. This is definitely one of the best restaurant experiences I've ever had and it's my new favorite go-to spot! I highly recommend 3 Monkeys! 🙌
If i had to pick a place for brunch, lunch or dinner around Richmond, this is definitely the place I would to go to! My friends and I are always here almost every other week and they never fail us here. Everyone is so sweet and super welcoming. This is the most family friendly restaurant/bar in Richmond. The food and drinks are amazing. 10 OF OUT 10 WOULD RECOMMEND!!!!!!

My partner and I went to 3 Monkeys today for brunch and I was pleasantly surprised at how great the experience and food was! We met the owner, Romy, and he was super nice, as well as our waitress and the other staff! We shared the chicken and waffles and skillet plate and a pitcher of mimosas and it was fairly priced. Great food. Chorizo Benedict. Buffalo chicken wrap. Both were very, very good. Service was good. A little slow at times. Not that busy. Atmosphere was that of a closed bar. Dark and dingy. Tables were not clean. Sriracha bottle top was gross!! Would still go back.

This is one of the best places to go for happy hour. It starts early and ends a little bit later than most bars (4-8PM EVERY DAY). Their burger night is also fantastic - super cheap ($5 for a burger and fries) and really great combinations. It’s not just a plain burger with fake American cheese. They serve ones with Gorgonzola and avocado and other deliciousness.
I’m not a huge fan of their brunch because there’s usually a wait and the menu is somewhat limited but their happy hour is on point.
Delicious! A nice variety of brunch options and cocktails. The pancake shot tastes like... Pancakes! It is a pretty busy place, be prepared to wait for a seat and for a noisy crowd.
Brunch was awesome! Try the Brussetta Eggs. I also got a side of their famous gravy. It was fantastic! Very sweet with a little heat at the end. Not your typical gravy flavor. It was so packed with meat, I ate some with my fork....
By far, it's one of the best local bars in Richmond. The staff is top notch, and the bartender services the best drinks. I love ❤️ this spot.
