Went to Bombolini for the first time yesterday and was so impressed. The staff was friendly and gave recomendations. The pasta was the best pasta I've ever had! The Carbonara was amazing.
Wonderful pasta! Nothing better! Once you've had it, the dry stiff won't do.
Picked up some pasta at the brandermill green market yesterday. We absolutely loved it! Easy to prepare and such a delicious fresh meal. We will be back!
Unexpected guests arrived after we had just returned from vacation. I called Bombolina and ordered chicken Marsala. They thought I was a genius. Thank you Bombolina! You were a hostess saver!

We bought pasta and sauce at the Forest Hill Market, first time customer and we will definitely be back for more! The fresh pasta is amazing and so is the sauce. Customers for life!!!

Wonderful fresh made pasta in a little 'mom and pop' restaurant and take out. I had the meatballs on a very thick pasta (forget the name of it) - it was terrific. Recommended for all pasta lovers.

NOTE: Bombolini no longer does dine in or any sort of hot food service. They used to, but have stopped since the pandemic. This review is solely about their homemade pasta products, available for purchase at the store.
We've been a fan of Bombolini pasta since seeing them at the RVA Big Market, so we decided to visit the actual store. It's neat being in the store, because as opposed to the precut and pre-packaged noodles, when you order pasta here, they take out the dough (of whatever flavor you've selected) and cut it fresh. While we were there, they were also making fresh ravioli, which my kids found mezmerizing.
There's a large selection of products in store, from ravioli to lasagna to sauces, drinks, etc. We also picked out some smoked salmon because it's AMAZING (if you haven't tried it, you're missing out), as well as some ravioli from the fridge. If I lived closer, I would definitely come frequently. It's such good quality fresh pasta, and the process was so smooth and simple. If you're in the area and looking for a quick and easy dinner option, you can't go wrong with some fresh pasta, salmon, and sauce!
I wish I could give this place 10 stars! We got the meat tortellini with meat sauce and I am glad we got 2! Owners are amazing ❤️ The atmosphere is homey but modern. Love every inch of this place. My Nonna would be impressed.
AWESOME PLACE!! Fresh pasta is delicious and this place nails it. They make all they pasta in house and have a huge selection of it to buy for home or try right there with your choice of sauce, pasta, and additions. They seemed to really only have outdoor seating or carry out. If they had more space, it’d make a nice cafe/bar. The bread we ordered was also very good. Hope to visit again next time we’re in Richmond.
A true Richmond gem! The staff is absolutely delightful, knowledgeable, and friendly. The fresh pasta, subs, and small batch spirits are amazing. The frozen lasagna, ravioli, and cannelloni offerings are always a wonderful treat after a long day when I want something homemade but don’t want to cook something from scratch. They are a pick-up location for Creambrook Farms raw milk share (how I found out about this amazing spot). Don’t miss out on their house smoked salmon, signature cocktails, or small but well curated beer and wine selections either!
a delightful place. A wide array of handmade fresh pasta to take home. Excellent non-dairy ravioli options, variety of homemade frozen lasagna and ravioli. They have a small wine selection as well as spices and sauces.
They run a small distillery. Every one of their beverages are very unique and flavorful and highly recommended. You can do a sampling and take home some. Very interesting Alcohols. The staffer super nice and welcoming and highly knowledgeable on all of the products and alcohol. Check the hours before you get in. They do not have any on-site food. Everything is take home to cook.
Good food, their pasta is A1. Cuban is pretty good as well. Excellent service, friendly staff, eclectic interior. They have wine by the bottle and glass, beer too. Great place to get your pasta fix and a wonderful establishment nestled in the heart of Main Street.
This is one of the best places in the world. You come in and ask for fresh pasta in whatever shape you feel like getting that day and they will cut it for you. I just got fresh basil pasta that was made an hour ago and not even listed on the board yet. This is a piece of Heaven in Richmond.

If you are looking for some pasta all you need to do is choose the flavor and what shape to cut it into. We chose roasted garlic and black pepper Pappardelle. Both were delicious the black pepper was everyone's favorite.
Very yummy scratch made pasta and sauce. I got a chicken Alfredo and the sauce could've used more seasoning, but still tasty. They have a nice selection of wines inside and it's a very cute shop.
Fresh cut pasta for each dish! It's delicious. Plus beer and wine. Additionally there is a distillery inside with an amazing selection! Must go
Found this place on a road trip coming from SC. I must say the pasta was awesome! I would definitely recommend this joint to all. Great prices also....
I love how the pasta is made in house! It's a bit of a walk from the dorms that I live at but it's on the way to Carytown which is nice. The food is pretty good, but in my opinion it could use a little more seasoning, I think it tastes best with a little salt added and some hot pepper flakes. There isnt a whole bunch of seating inside and they package everything as a to go order (convenient in my case). It also has a limited parking lot. Overall I like it there. I included a picture of the polo marsala (chicken in wine sauce).

They have amazing fresh pasta. There is also a freezer case with baked dishes like lasagna, or just pasta, meatballs, etc. Also marinara sauce with or wo meat. I usually get the lasagna and it's excellent. They close at 7p though so plan ahead!!

This was a wonderful surprise. No frills but The food was delicious and plentiful. We had the Garlic pasta 😋 and meat sauce with a fresh hot loaf of bread. It was so much food we had almost a whole container left and we were stuffed. It was not expensive $23.00 for 2 meals, bread and drinks. We loved it and we will definitely return again!
This place is a pasta lover's dream with a plethora of sauce and noodles choices. Everything is homemade and the meats are smoked. They also have a ton of wine and spirit choices.
Fantastic. Nice folks, very affordable, large portions, and most importantly delicious fresh pasta. Why'd it take so many years? Smoked Salmon on Rstd Garlic linguine is life.
