This is my favorite Thai place. I have tried many others and this one has the best tasting Pad See Ew. (It's the only dish I eat)
Absolutely delicious the staff needs customer service training.
It's a small cozy place in a small community, but the food is great n not expensive.
Best Thai food and wonderful staff - can't get through the week without it!
Staff was awesome and super friendly. the food was amazing!!!
Best Thai in Richmond. And I've tried them all many times over.
Love Thai Diner Too..my favorite restaurant!!!!!
I just moved back to the area from another state, and I definitely have had my fair share of Thai food. Upon taking the first bite, I instantly was intrigued at how tofu could be cooked to this level. I’m glad I chose the appropriate spice level and my +1 enjoyed their food too! I’m going to save half of it later to enjoy once more!
The picture below is yellow curry!
Happened to walk in here while looking for somewhere new and was not disappointed!
Great Thai place. Pretty lowkey atmosphere. Good food/pricing.
Most likely will get takeout from here in the future.
Overall we had a great experience, our waiter was able to suggest a dish for me when I was struggling to explain what I wanted. Food was great, “best Pad See Ew I’ve ever had” my mother said! We went on a pretty slow day, so our food came pretty quickly. My only criticism is that the portions were small, so no takeaway for us.
Well enjoyed. The atmosphere was really nice. I’ve been coming here for 2 years now. It is my to go Thai food. Something about it just gets you going. Nitnoy our waitress was really nice as well. Very polite. If you see this your very cute. 😩
My first time at this Thai restaurant and so far it's pretty good. I would definitely come back again.
It does smell a bit funny but the food has always been on point for me. Generally I'll have the masaman curry, this time they got the spiciness just right. The young fella working the tables was very nice. Honestly I was just happy they were open on a snow day when so many others were closed. Curry on a cold day will always hit the spot for me. The decor gives it a nice authentic feel and there's lots to look at, they even have local artists displaying their work for sale. I've gotten takeout before and was not as happy as dining in but that's kind of a given.
I rarely give out 5 star reviews but there’s nothing wrong with this places food! Everything is sooo delicious! I especially love the fried dumplings, spring rolls, Thai iced tea and red curry fried rice. The service is fast and friendly. My only small complaint is the bathrooms are a little sketchy…but ya know…wait to use the bathroom somewhere else lol.
Was their food delicious and authentic? Yes. Did their Cary Street dining room smell overwhelmingly like Axe body spray? Also yes.
Listen, you can't win 'em all. But if you love Thai food and the fragrance of male-over-compensation, this is your place. If you just like Thai food, maybe order to-go, it's still really good.
I really love this place! When I lived near the Richmond area a few years ago, I use to go here almost once a week. So of course I had to pay them a visit when I was back in town and they are still fast and delicious! Thai Diner Too is great for lunch or dinner...or both! I highly recommend the Noodle of the Drunk (Thai hot)!
I haven't been here in a long time - I decided to visit again .
I had COVID back in September, and it's made my taste super off when it comes to certain things. I ordered the pad Thai , and I was super looking forward to it. Once it came out everything looked as it was supposed to. Except, once I tasted it , it tasted like that odd/off taste I mentioned earlier.
I was super disappointed because I could not finish or even start my meal. My waiter traded out my meal for something else on the house and it meant the WORLD to me. I would've paid for the meal either way , it showed me genuine care that they switched it out for me instead of charging me for the pad Thai.
Thank you - I will be revisiting ❤️
The staff was exceptional. The food was a notch above the typical Thai cuisine. We ordered several dishes (mine were all vegan). Rich in flavor and very reasonably priced for dishes of this quality. I was truly impressed. This will be my new go-to place when I want something really enjoyable. Outstanding!
Overall restaurant atmosphere was great. Food was absolutely delicious. Would return! :-)
Quiet ambience. Mussels were okay, sauce was not. Fried dumplings were delicious but serving was small. Shrimp and beef red curry with rice was yummy.
We ordered from this place for delivery. The food was tasty and we'll seasoned. Delivery was slow, but I guess that is to be expected in Saturday night. I got the beef and veggies in oyster sauce and my son had the drunken noodles. We also got 2 types of dumplings, one if which was in coconut milk.... Both were amazing. The Tom Kha soup was tasty... It was loaded with shaved beef which was good. It was very good but not amazing (hence the 4 star) but overall it was a solid choice
Consistently hot, fresh, delicious Thai food.
I’ve never had delivery but eating in and pick up is always extremely speedy. As a person that works and lives in Carytown, this place is a go to for me if I’m hungry in a hurry.
We went there for lunch and the food was good as well as the service. The portion size is on the smaller side though. It’s pretty much on par with many other Thai restaurants I’ve had all over the states.
Food is reliably good here. Yellow curry rice with Tofu and/or shrimp is delicious! Also enjoy the changing artwork.
Disappointed there's no longer a mini egg roll & tea served with lunch. I think a $1 price hike would have been a better move!
