A lovely little food find! My daughter and I stopped in after her gymnastics meet and enjoyed our shared meal. The gimbap was delicious, and our first time trying. We also enjoyed our barley tea (another first) and ended up buying a bag to take home. The staff was super friendly and kind. As a bonus, this restaurant has an attached market! Nice selection of Korean and Asian snacks.

Keep coming back, our favorite place for Korean BBQ in Richmond. The banchan are great and once in awhile there will be a new addition -- today there was marinated tofu! The beef brisket and pork bbq are always delicious. The bulgogi is sweet and tasty and the galbi is delicious. The tteokbokki is the perfect mix of sweet, spicy and chewy!

I was in town for a lacrosse tournament and this restaurant / Asian market was a short walk from the hotel. I ordered a takeout of LA galbi and kimbap. Picked it up 30 mins later. So much delicious food. Galbi was meaty, tender, very flavorful and grilled beautifully. Kimbap was freshly made. Soup was the perfect eating temperature, with lots of flavorful and just the right amount of spice. All the sides were delicious. Dinner also came with about a quart container of hot cooked rice. It's a lot of food for one person but I managed to eat it all. You have to either call or show up to place a takeout order. They don't have a website and don't take online orders. They also don't deliver or use a delivery service (like Doordash, etc). The food is well worth whatever you have to do to get it tho. Highly recommend. The asian market is on the other side of the restaurant and was well stocked. Bright lights so you can see everything. It's organized really well and there are a couple of employees around to help you find what you're looking for.

Great food, very authentic (I spent 1.5 years in South Korea). For the first time in Richmond I really had an authentic ethnic food experience

I’m very lucky to have this place so close to my office! It’s n o t cheap but it is very satisfying and your single entree order will feed you at least two meals. Spicy squid and LA galbi with tofu soup are my go-to - and they come with all the little sides !

Delicious food, great service! I had the bimbimbap and it was absolutely amazing. My friends had the Korean barbecue and they loved it! The dumplings, fried or steamed, and the rocket shrimp were so good as well! Warm sake as the cherry on top, made this place a new favorite! Highly recommend.

AMAZING! I tried the bibimbap, gimbap, and tteokbokki (my favorite, I asked for it special). The food was fresh and delicious. You get a lot of food, too. The restaurant was clean, quiet and the staff was very friendly. I also loved shopping in their market. I will come again, it's my new favorite place. Highly recommend. (My order was to go, and they packed my foods really well in a box..and they gave me all the yummy sides that I would have if I ate in restaurant. So nice of them!) Next time I'll eat in the restaurant. :)

I have always love Korean food, unfortunately there are not too many Korean restaurants in Central Virginia. I happened to be in Southside and had to pick up some dinner to take home. As always, I pick my restaurant based on other people’s review and photos. I was happy to see Seoul Restaurant was near by. I have ordered a variety of traditional dishes and some authentic dishes. It took quite long for the food to be ready even though the restaurant wasn’t very busy. Luckily there is a small grocery store connected to the restaurant and owned by the same people. I took my time checked out every aisle. When the food was ready, the owner helped me carried the box to my car and carefully explained which sauce goes with which dish. They were very kind and friendly. Every dish was a hit, Food was delicious. Portions were big. I was very happy finding a good Korean restaurant.

Seoul Restaurant deserves all the stars and all the business. The food is authentic, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. We were in Korea earlier this year, and the food was just as good. I’d highly recommend the dolsot bibimbap - the banchan (sides) were also incredible. Do yourself a favor and go here!
