Wow! Eat 66 is a laid back spot that offers incredibly delicious breakfast! I ordered the Fried Green Tomato Eggs Benedict with potatoes and it was the best version of eggs Benedict I've ever had - crispy English muffin, perfectly poached eggs! Plus, the potatoes were out of this world. I will definitely return for lunch soon!
A wonderful Richmond neighborhood dinner tucked away in the Stratford Hills Shopping Center. The morning we were there the coffee didn’t taste as fresh as it should be and the cooking oil was slightly heavy but overall the breakfast was very satisfying. (Yummy biscuits!). Excellent service with comfy seating. A great deal that gives it four stars. (All beers $3.50!). Don’t miss if you are a Dinner Lover. Enjoy.
Eat 66 is a small diner with big flavor! It has been so long since I’ve found a place that has perfected breakfast. The sausage gravy brought a tear to my eye. The eggs were cooked perfectly, and their potatoes were the truth. The French toast was basic, but overall, everything was amazing. I will definitely be returning.
We had to wait about 4 minutes because it was packed. Food was great but the customer service was excellent. Everyone went out of their way to speak to you. I ordered the Fried catfish with fries. Food came out quickly and was hot. Catfish was fried to perfection. I highly recommend it. This was a nice after church spot to grab lunch.
My new favorite brunch spot. I come here for my ladies brunches and with my babe for our date brunches. Food is a great portion, fair price and comes out quick! I go here at least twice a month. Keep up the good work! ❤️
My meal was excellent. I highly recommend this diner.
First time visiting and my husband and I are sold! The food was delicious and the presentation was appealing as much as the taste. They give you nice sized portions that will leave your dining experience full and satiated. Atmosphere is great and the customer service is stellar. Our server checked in with us and ensured we were okay. The owner even checked in. We were also greeted with smiles before-during-after. Old Route 66 isn’t just about dining in, it’s about dining with family and friends in mind. We’re family now and regulars. Highly recommend!
Looking for a nice place to get some breakfast. Found this little place nice and relaxing with the smooth music playing. You're going to loved this place. A little wait but wasn't too long. The customer service was nice and the manager is very helpful.
Loved this place. Food was amazing. My fried bologna was fried to perfection. Nice and crispy on the edges. I definitely will be returning.
The atmosphere was great and the staff was very accommodating the owner introduced herself and was hustling and bustling and being just as accommodating as her staff. The food was amazing and the portions were exquisite size. Could not have gotten better service or better food in RVA. Thank you Tee.
I really like the atmosphere here. Kinda minimalist but with effort in the way the art is displayed and wall painting. Great staff. Only a few people for such a busy place but they kept up well and had a pleasant attitude.
Plenty of parking. Plenty of seating even at 1030 on a Sunday. So minimal wait if any to be seated. Food was delicious, except for the pancakes.. Kinda disappointing. But would definitely return. Great brunch spot.
I selected Eat 66 based on reviews. The food choices were great. I had bacon, eggs, and wheat toast with a side of Fried Green Tomatoes. The main items were good, but the Fried Green Tomatoes were not. They had too much breading, and it made them mushy. I will try Eat 66 again.
This place is a hidden gem. The staff are amazing. The food is always on point. If you know you know. The wait can be a little bit because the place always feels packed, but the experience is well worth it. Go see Shelby and the rest of the amazing staff for a great dinning experience, breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
Small diner with good food. Staff was friendly and quick. The sausage gravy & biscuits was 2 huge biscuits topped with delicious gravy. A must stop! Definitely recommend.
Delicious food, friendly service, comfortable atmosphere - now keep reading because you are going to want to know this. Our friends suggested this place for breakfast and it was SO GOOD on Saturday that we went back again after church on Sunday. I don't usually take pictures of my food, sorry, but you have to imagine hot, crispy fried green tomatoes with perfectly poached eggs* and buttery Hollandaise (add a drop of hot sauce it your Bennies will thank you) *poaching eggs is an artform and many restaurants just won't do it, even if you ask nicely and say please.
Do you like a Bloody Mary? I do, a lot, and it seems like the world has gone crazy with adding all sorts of stuff and garnishes... Eat 66 keeps it classic (you can add crispy (seriously, it doesn't flop over all fatty and gross) absolutely perfect bacon if you choose - obviously I did) with the horseradish and all the flavors balanced and in tune. I don't know if it was the booze or the food or the friendly smiles, but I felt that place pretty happy (2x) - and weekends are already usually pretty good mood lifters.
Everyone I was with, both days, was also psyched about their meals and we agreed that maybe Eat 66 means how many times you need to go in a row?!
EDIT: the GRITS! how did I forget to tell you how perfect the grits were?!? Not gluey, not watery-runny, just awesome (you thought I was going to say perfect again, didn't you?) Okay, go find out for yourself - and you might have to dig around in the butter/creamer/condiment holder thingy to get you some butter but mmmmmmm, do it.
I ordered the pork chop dinner that is country fried pork chops, mashed potatoes, gravy, and green beans. I order this regularly and it ALWAYS GREAT!
The breading is crunchy and well seasoned, the green beans and maahed potatoes are awesome! Excellent value for your money too!
This place is super cute. It's at the end of a small shopping plaza but it's pretty big inside. I ordered my food to go and the young lady at the front helped me decide on a dish since I don't eat beef or pork. I ordered the fried green tomatoes egg Benedict with the potatoe fries. DELICIOUS 😋
Love this little diner! Easy to park our little RV. I had Fried Green Tomatoes Benedict, the husband had the house-made hash. Everything was fresh and delicious. Friendly chill atmosphere with hip Route 66 vibe. Low salt used in prep, salt to your taste folks!
