Excellent. That's been my experience with OLIO. The food is excellent, my wife, daughter, family members, co-workers and patrons all have a excellent rating for OLIO. I've been to 3 locations, the original on Main Street (Now Branch & Vine) one on Franklin Street and the latest location on Cary Street in the Fan. They have really tasty sandwiches and sides. They accommodate almost any palette, from Vegan to Carnivore with healthy and delicious offerings. Beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverage selection usually covers a wide variety of off the beaten path thirst quenching bottles and cans. Try OLIO once and you may become a regular happy customer!
Olio has been open for roughly a month at this location. This was my first visit and it most definitely won't be my last.
Both of us had the Arc de Triomphe sandwich (melted brie, turkey and bacon on a warm baguette). Outstanding! I had it with a side of kale salad which was also excellent.
Unlimited refills on the iced tea as well.
If you do a Google search for "Olio Arc sandwich" the first link is to the Richmond Times Dispatch with a photo of the sandwich I'm talking about. 😀
This is my all time favorite sandwich shop, I love all the sandwiches. Thing is, I haven't had one for years, since they were on Main Street and are now only open for 4-5 hours a day and closed all weekend. With hours like that, I wonder how an employee can even afford to work here, much less how they get stedy clientle.
Stopped by on a rainy Thursday where Olio is mostly deserted. Order a reuben for $11. A bit on the small side, it tasted decent. The venue is clean and homey, much of a local deli setting for the fan/college town crowds. High rent may have contributed to the cost, which is more and more of the norm these days. Maybe it's just me getting old.
Completely random stop on a business trip. Amazing Parma ham sandwich, good soups. Quick and nice staff. Definitely worth the lunch stop if you’re in the area.
The atmosphere is charming and the food is delicious. The two people working behind the counter were friendly and helpful. I wish they were open longer hours so I could make it in more frequently.
I ordered the Arc de Triomphe with a side if italian white bean salad. I used Quickness RVA to have it delivered to MCV. It did take an hour however the delivery guy delivered it via bicycle and the sandwich was still warm. The aioli was delicious, and the baguette was amazing. The the herbs and seasoning in the white bean salad is also amazing. I will definitely get delivery again and I will have to make a stop to dine in as well.
Olio is the best sandwich shop in Richmond. I love everything I've ever ordered, and the vibe is super chill. Great place to have lunch!
The Arc de Triomphe was amazing. The turkey with the gooey brie is delicious. The baguette is fresh and warm and is not chewy the way I expected. Very good.
Great sandwiches. I'm glad they opened this location. Service even at prime lunch time is quick.
Great little place for lunch. The Arc sandwich is amazing. I would also reccomend the pesto pasta salad
Great little place food is really good. Nice people great service. Will be going back
