The sushi here is delicious and great quality! Our server was very nice and the sushi chef was so incredibly friendly and positive. Also one of the few places I can find Uni (sea urchin roe) actually in stock. Our food took a bit of time to come out but it's a pandemic and there's a staffing shortage so that's completely understandable. The atmosphere is really nice and a bit quirky. I'm definitely going to be a regular customer here.
A small, nice family owned restaurant.
Good food.
Nice people serving.
We came here for dinner. Despite there being not many other people there besides us, the food took a while to come out. The place itself looks dated and the interior is not much to look at but is sufficient.
Chef had his nose out and sometimes his mouth too while wearing his mask. Though the sushi itself was actually pretty tasty. Baked one was nice and had a lot of flavor. Sashimi pieces were good as well. A decent choice for a sushi dinner in Richmond.
Whew! I wish you could give more than 5 stars to some places...and this is one of the ones at the top of my list!
I have been coming here for well over a decade and it never fails to deliver top notch food, on par with what I have when I travel to Japan.
Victor and his wife are hard working, people pleaser and he is a fantastic sushi chef!
He works hard to get the freshest food and goes over the top to ensure you enjoy it.
The crowd can be a bit excitable at times, so sometimes not a super quiet place, but ALWAYS a fun place, to enjoy a meal and a libation!

Excellent sushi! I had the London roll and my gf had the Crouching Tiger. Excellently plated and the wait wasn't long at all! And they have Kikkoman plum wine here, which is phenomenally sweet and delicious.
Conveniently located right on main street ( right across from Miyabi, which is also fantastic), it's not too hard to find parking and the prices were competitive! Added to the rotation
We came here to eat pretty late around 9 and glad they were open till 10. Only one main server and one if the Sushi chefs helped serve us. We ordered a bottle of sake - Sho Chiku Bai Nigori and that was pretty good. You got a little more of that rice taste due to it being unfiltered.
We ordered quite a but- the Spicy seafood soup, Beef garlic fried rice, eel and uni Sashimi. We ordered a variety of sushi - octopus and we also got a caterpillar roll. I don't recall everything we got but it was all very good and good cuts with not too much rice.
I really liked the flavor of the seafood soup. It didn't have a lot of seafood, some shrimp, fish and imitation crab meat. There was some noodles and cabbage in there too. Loved the way it tasted though. The beef garlic fried rice was also good and flavorful but I wish it had more garlic in there.
Overall a great Sushi spot.
I like to sit at the bar and chat with the owner/sushi chef as I watch him prepare my meal. He's friendly and engaging.
Victor served up the best sushi I've had in Richmond since I moved here in 2015. Great conversation too
Service was great. The sushi was good, the garlic fried rice was ok tho. It didn’t really taste garlicky in my opinion.
Tonight was our first time here, we sat at the bar and everything from walking in to paying was amazing. The owner was incredibly kind… so wonderful to fine this little gem ♥️
