Love the classic frankfurter and french fries! Everything is always fresh and tasty! Heroic sodas are awesome ! Stroop ice cream is a must to finish a great meal! Thanks for bringing to RVA comfort food in a simple yet delicious way! Continued success! :)
Besides having great dogs, gluten-free options and really good soda (the ginger beer is awesome), their service is what will keep me coming back!! I recently moved here from a rural area with my two dogs (the canine variety, not the frankfurter), and they are not quite used to the city life yet. Tonight when I called in an order, I happened to mention that I was out walking my dogs. The gal who took my order - sorry! horrible at remembering names - must have seen me walk up. She popped her head out the back door, verified it was me and then came outside to take my payment. Then she brought it out when it was done, along with a little piece of hot dog for the furbabies. I didn't have to tie them up or worry about them while I was in the restaurant. Can't get much better than that!
Found this place by chance when we came over to local bakery. It was the highlight of our day. Great hotdogs, hot fresh fries and delicious house made soda. If only we didn't live 90 miles away!
We ate there today. After living in Europe for several years, the bratwurst was the best. Will go again for something new. Amazing fries too

As much as I love a grilled hot dog with mustard, onions and chili, so glad I stepped out of the box for a Stroop's Hot Dog. Can't wait to go back!

I really love this place. From the feel (a relaxing, yet I'm on the go type vibe) to the service and definitely the dogs! So many to choose from and I have yet to have one that I didn't like. Can't eat here often, but if I could I would. I'm a recovering hot dog lover, and I can honestly say these are my favorite in the city
Richmond has been in need for a legitimate hotdog and sausage place for years. City Dog's is good, but they concentrate on the toppings. True hot dog connoisseurs will appreciate the bite and texture of Stroops and enjoy the simple goodness of an old fashioned hotdog, the way they (presumably) were meant to be.
One of the great lunch spots in Richmond. Takes the simple and elevates it to a New American gourmet item. If you like food, you should eat here.
Fantastic little eatery with great choices. RVA dog is a must, but be sure to try their seasonal dogs too- this place doesn't disappoint.
