Went on a Sunday afternoon so YMMV. Essentially, this place is AWESOME! Fantastic vegan food, very friendly service, ample seating space, and a pretty quick turnaround for the kind of food they offer. On one side of the store, you place your order and on the other side is the lobby. Their menu is pretty straightforward and I think it rotates (not sure how often). I got the STK LEE ROTH and it is probably the best cheesesteak I’ve ever had, vegan or not. The fries were excellent and I also got a slice of their banana/peanut butter cake (forgot the actual name). Overall, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
This new vegan food joint is pretty cool and chill. Just like it’s name, it provides lots of space to sit and have a bit to eat or just sit with friends to have a chat. Food is pretty good. The tofu sandwich I got had cold tofu which I hate, it must be served hot. Either way everything was good. My husband loved the “chicken” mashed potato bowl with corn and gravy. Love their sweets too!!
Chick-Fil-anti burger was fantastic. Tots were as expected. Bathrooms were disgusting however which is the reasoning for 4/5 stars. A little strange setup with the eating area but works well. Food came out fast. Very pleased with the food but it was a huge vibe killer when there is pee all over the floor in the women’s bathroom.
Amazing place! Great food, atmosphere and staff! Both the Chick-Fil-Aint and the Classic Burger are 10/10 and you will never feel skimped on the fries!!
Grabbed some takeout from Hang Space during our drive through Richmond. Man, this did not disappoint.
Before stepping foot in the restaurant I knew Tickles were going to need to be part of my order. I mean crispy tots, pickles and some sort of sauce? Sign me up for that! The tots were very crispy, even though the were covered in the pickles and creamy pink sauce. They held up well as takeout. I loved the combo of creamy and pickles. A winning side dish for sure!
When it came to a sandwich, things weren't so clear cut. I ran through my options Beyond burgers, Quorn items, but I wasn't really feeling these because I can grab them in my local grocery store and take them home to dress up. I wanted something only Hang Space could provide. That meant a Chick fil ain't. This is a house made chick'n patty dressed the way that a certain corporate chain does. The patty was thick. Way thicker than I thought humanly possible. Because of the patty thickness, the sandwich was a bit drier than I like. I should've grabbed some of those to go condiments they offered. Next time...
Hang Space's brand of vegan comfort/junk food was top notch. You aren't getting healthy vegan fare here, just excellent cruelty free versions of some of those famous fast food items.
The vegan chicken cutlet parmigiana sub was excellent! It replicated what I used to make a long time ago at a NY Pizzeria and restaurant. Before becoming vegan, chicken cutlet was a favorite of mine. This even had crunchy breading in places. I enjoyed each and every bite!
Tickles (no photo, they disappeared quicker than I could snap a pic) is a must have appetizer (tater tots with special tickle sauce and relish)!!! OMG it was one of the best appetizers I have ever eaten!
Fantastic food! The inside was closed due to a power issue but that wasn't a problem. Everything was hot and fresh. We got a Rodeo burger and wings on their specials board along with fries (not pictured) and a Snickers cheesecake.
This is a great Vegan spot (I am not Vegan but do like partaking in vegan affair). Such a cool vibe in the place, clean restrooms, and fantastic food. My friend calls this a vegan fast food equivalent and she frequents often. The special - Thai Fries - are absolutely amazing. As was the vegan chicken sandwich (which is actually an off-the-menu mash up of one of the chicken and burger options that my friend always gets). Definitely stop by and partake in the yummy goodness here!
I had the tickle and the chick’ n parm sandwich. Both items were delicious. The sign states everything is vegan and staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I definitely will go back.
Excellent customer service, especially from the guy with long hair! I ordered the Jaylnn wings, Pad thai fries and Chik'n deluxe sandwich and lemon pound cake. I absolutely loved the sauce on the wings 😋!! The sandwich was thick and juicy and everything else had a nice flavor but the wings were my favorite and i ended up ordering the wings again a few days later 😆
My favorite touch were the pretty spelling of my name on the bag 😍 too cute!!
I was a vegan virgin...till my sister took me here. Wow! The food really is amazing. I honestly couldn't tell the difference from a real burger on the grill. The little dining room was closed, so that was disappointing. They were out of an item or two, but all 5 of us were oo-ing and ah-ing for the entire meal. The owner was delightful, helpful and patient. Will definitely return.
I had a wonderful experience here. The staff is friendly and the seating area is comfy and inviting. I had the Buff Boi special, a buffalo "chicken" sandwich and it was amazing. I'm from out of town and wish we had a place like this where I live.
Excellent food, no caveat. The fact that it's vegan is a bonus. Not So Pad Thai Fries are explosively flavorful and Buffalo Chick'n is super satisfying.
Ordered online, food was ready about 15 min early! Bam burger, chik-fil-aint and tickles were great! will definitely come again 😋
This is one of the best vegan restaurants in Richmond. They have a "chick fil ain't"sandwich that is hard to pass up. Everytime I go I say I'm going to try something new but fall back on my chicken sandwich lol. My favorite side is tots, they give you an enormous bowl full that is enough for 2 servings.
I highly recommend this place to everyone.
Update 2/15/20
They ran a special $9 for 9 cinnabon. I went in to pick them up and ended up ordering another special. A buffalo chick fil ain't and a poor girl parmesan sub. Both were good, the poor girl was better, the messiness of the buffalo chick fil ain't turned me off even though it tasted good, I just prefer the sandwich without the buffalo
Amazing!! And so professional and on time with everything. Also, they are following all precautionary procedures during this pandemic.
Excellent food and excellent service - went out of the way to give them a try - and it was well worth it (unlike another vegan restaurant in Richmond that was quite the opposite/negative experience).
My first time eating here and the energy here is so chill. The service was on point. Friendly staff, hot food. The portions for the food was perfect. I got the Messy BAM Burger and it was so good !! I will definitely be coming back to try other menu items.
How did I not know about this place for the two years they’ve been open? SO DELICIOUS! And more, they are courteous from the start with friendly, chatty workers who make you feel like a regular from the start. My boyfriend ordered something on the side and the chef came out to make sure which sauces he wanted on and off which was a step above! They cared about his order request and that they got it right and that is a step above and beyond.
And the food! Delicious is an understatement, really! It’s hard to believe that the huge portions they dish out can actually taste that good and stay vegan.
Even the decor is so easy to get with with the whole shabby chic, art house vibe intriguing you to walk around the dining room looking at the local art while you wait. Beautiful!
Definitely one of our new favorite restaurants! Now go! Eat!
