We ate around 1pm on a Saturday and ordered from the Brunch menu. I had the French toast with sausage, and it was delish. The husband had the fried fish sandwich. The fish was very thick and battered/fried to perfection. Good variety of beer choices, something for everyone. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area and looking for quality food, great service, and the Richmond experience.
Seated quickly and service was great! Waitress was very familiar with both the food and spirits menus. Loaded tots to start, and they were the perfect starter! Beer cheese was tangy but tasted amazing!
I got Pretzel burger with bacon and smoked Gouda with the chips as a side, little guy got a regular with no mustard and fries.
First off... The chips are fresh cooked and AMAZING! The seasoning on them is unique.. salty, but just the right way and some seasoning I couldn't put my finger on... But I loved it!
Burgers were cooked perfectly, the taste of the bacon and smoked Gouda really added some great layers of flavor to the seasoning on the burger. I would have liked some salt on the pretzel bun.. but that's the only less criticism I can give on the food!
The only downside to the experience was a small one. The patio/entrance is the smoking area for the bar as well... So you have to walk through cigarette smoke to get in... But I had zero issue with it. I just could see it as negative for other visitors.
Very dive bar/downtown feel, diverse clientele, friendly and fast service, and great food all make this somewhat hidden gem!
Next time, I'm going for the meatloaf! Definitely a multiple visit kinda place for me!!
My kids and myself decided to go due to a nice Groupon deal. The food was good. We had the Mac n cheese chicken finger dish. So, what I tasted was blue cheese, panko crumbs, cheese and Buffalo sauce. It was good, and different. 2 people can eat this. This dish was plenty.
That chef slayed the kitchen. The m collards and max and cheese were AMAZING. The collards were better than any place I’ve dined in. The bartend we was awkward almost like he didn’t want us there, but the food made me not really care about that.
I walked over to try burger night. 6$ burger was fantastic! Great place in the museum district. The wings looked amazing and they are half price during happy hour. Will definitely try that next time.
Always incredible food, amazing atmosphere and our server (Renee sp?) was outstanding. They offer a large selection of cocktails and a decent variety of craft beers. Prices are moderate, but well worth the quality. Ordered the tavern loaded fries and honey chipotle wings and both were delicious. We will definitely be coming back.
We visited right after they opened at 3 PM. Both the service and food was superior. The atmosphere is more adult than kid friendly.
Great bar. Love to go here when I'm just hanging around the area. Definitely maintains a local vibe. Bartenders are all very cool and attentive. Food is surprisingly good for the kind of dive bar feel it has. Has great beer selection and your go-to cheap "tavern" beer . Highly recommended if your looking for a good watering hole
A fun place for drinks. Rotating selection of draft beers with many good options. Friendly staff and crowd and worth a visit.
This is a wonderful little bar. It is exactly what you might expect for a small bar type establishment. The staff has always been a treat. The wings are absolutely on point, and the burgers are right there with it.
The only thing I found lacking were the chips. Though that's not to say that my one experience with them wasn't an odd one out.
They also have had a notable lack of Guinness, but that's hard to hold against them.
Good beer selection, great menu of sandwiches and dinner options. Friendly staff and dog friendly seating outside on the covered patio.
Food was amazing! The Florentine Flatbread was great and the good came out quick. Our waitress Renee was AMAZING and very hospitable. Will be coming back again.
Lovely fish of the day with great service. Vibe is divey but what they serve is the exact opposite. Highly recommend, especially if you're taking the pescatarian route but looking for an inexpensive and unpretentious spot to dine.
Fun neighborhood gathering place..food was good mac and cheese was great..server was fun and showed us just enough attention..
Great bar. If you are looking for a real bar in the Museum District...this is it.
Came here for brunch and was very pleased! Plenty of tasty and affordable options.
Lovely cocktails and darts are always a good time! :)
