Great, cheap sushi. Freshly made, and you also get 2 sodas of your choice for an order. Friendly husband and wife, she does the sushi-making and he does the cash register. Lovely little joint, definitely my favorite to stop in and grab some sushi in the middle of Kentucky.
So brief history of Khin...About 5 or 6 years ago Khin was employed by Kroger Company to make sushi in the deli. She then decided to open her very own sushi place and she sure does know how to serve sushi. They (husband and Khin) are one of the nicest people I've ever met. When they first opened, the also offered free fruit to patrons. I am very happy for Khin and I hope she has many blessings!
It was amazing! Great deal and great sushi! Owner was super polite and a clean restaurant!! Definitely would recommend for college students! Will be going back again!
Today is March 16,2017 and we tried Khin's Sushi for tue 1st time. I order the King Dragon roll ( the special) and it was incredible. There was enough for myself and my husband. It was 10.00 dollars and that was with 3 soda pops. We will defifnitely be go back.
If you like good sushi, this place is top notch. EKU students LOVE IT! It's not designed to be be a sit down, restaurant experience. It offers great sushi at a very economical price. I recommend it highly for value and excellent service.
The restaurant is clean and the food is great. They do not offer a huge selection, but sometimes that is best; the owners know what they do well and so they stick to it. The customer service is fantastic! The restaurant itself could use additional seating, but if you are doing a pickup order, this really isn't a problem. Highly recommended!
I love Khin's! It's the only place I trust with my sushi. I know that everything made is fresh and clean. I love Khin and Tu as well, they always try and make your meal as pleasant as possible. Also, they are not stingy at all! They give you two free drinks and then keep the drinks rolling if they see you run out. You should definitely go here.
Khins is a nice surprise considering every chines restaurant I have had in Richmond has been absolutely horrible. Affordable GOOD sushi. You cant be disappointed considering the closets thing to what they offer there for the price is a Kroger across the street, and there you cant even guarantee its fresh made. Here at Khins you know they are making it as you wait.
Our son, who attends a nearby college, recommended that we try one of his favorite spots. College students are really good at finding good food at a good price. No frills on the decor, but excellent sushi.
Worth it.. This place is great if you're looking for cheap Sushi. yes it's not going to be fancy like other places you could find, but it will fill you up and not break the budget. When my friends and I went everything came in styrofoam to-go containers along with free drinks. I was definitely worth the trip to Richmond.
MUST VISIT. The atmosphere is slightly underwhelming, but I couldn't ask for tastier sushi! Not sure of it's authenticity, but it's delicious and extremely cheap! I put it on my must visit list every time I go to Richmond.
Amazing Sushi, Great Price!. I recently ate at Khin's for the first time. I ordered a California Roll that included 10 pieces. I paid $5.31 and received two free cans of soda as well. It was some of the biggest pieces of sushi I have ever seen!
Excellent! Right across the bypass from red lobster. Free drink for every 5.00 purchase. Dragon roll sushi, miso soup and seabreeze salad was fresh and tasted awesome. Owners were really nice.
My fiancé introduced me to Khin's Sushi a few weeks ago and I can't get enough of it. If you're looking for great food and a comfortable environment to eat in then Khin's is the place for you. Great Prices!

I forget there's another sushi place in Richmond because I go here all the time. I LOVE it! The prices are college friendly, which is very important to me and my friends, and the sushi is delicious! I notice someone mentioned bad service, but you have to remember it's a cultural thing and not all cultures have a service standard like ours. It's so worth every penny and every minute spent there!

Please let this place stay in business!. I have no clue how they can stay in business at these prices, but I hope that they can. The sushi is as good as any that I have paid 2-3 times the price for, the drinks are free and the people are super. If you are looking for a fancy place to impress a date, this isn't it. If you want great food at an amazingly low price, come on in!

No need for over-priced or supermarket sushi anymore. Richmond has needed a good sushi joint for a long time. When Koto moved in it was good at first, but in the last year the quality and service at Koto have really gone down hill while the prices have remained high. When we stumbled upon Khin's we were taken aback at first by the simplistic restaurant area. It is nothing more than some folding tables and chairs, with chopsticks and paper towels. But Khin's is not a place for looks, it's a place for taste and their sushi is downright amazing. They have several different options, but if you're craving something specific you can just tell them what you want and they'll make it. If you haven't tried their fried dumplings I suggest you give them a try as well. They are made fresh every time I order them and taste wonderful. Prices are astounding here as well. For about $4 you can get a roll of sushi, two 12 oz. drinks, and they usually throw in a banana and a sweet snack. And for every roll of sushi you order you get two free drinks. Long gone are the days of stale supermarket sushi from Kroger and you no longer have to pay the extravagant prices at Koto. Khin's in the best eatery to come to Richmond in several years.
Nicest family run business in town. Always upbeat and helpful, CHEERFUL!!! Great sushi, and so much better than what I've recently gotten at Meijer or Kroger. $5.30, can't beat it anywhere, support local.
Delightful Sushi. My wife and I visited this place after hearing wonderful reviews from my friends.
For $6 we received 10 pieces of crunchy salmon roll, two cans of drink (12oz), a banana, and condiment cup of spicy sauce. Their sushi was the best that I've had in Madison and Fayette county. There is a nice selection of sushi available and the prices are fantastic. I highly recommend the place to anyone who enjoys fresh sushi.
Fantastic!. This place is freaking great. It's so good that it may or may not cure cancer. Seriously, I would almost sell my first born child if i could get service like this anywhere. The owners are amazing, the food is amazing, and the prices are..... amazing. I know of no other establishment that can deliver this kind of quality at this low of a price. This place truly is a gem and worth stopping by. I loves it bunches and bookoodles.
Great restaurant! Small and very bland dining room but the sushi speak for the restaurant! Low price sushi for great taste! $4 can get you 20pcs. Veggie and crab sushi and a free drink you can't beat that. The people who run the place are Burma such a friendly and nice people:)
Great sushi at an even better price!. We stopped by for a late lunch and were surprised to find the owners were very nice, the sushi was super cheap, and everything was made fresh. We ordered a spicy tuna roll that was ten pieces ($5.50), a tempura shrimp and eel roll that was ten pieces ($6.50), and a rainbow roll that was six huge pieces ($5.00). They were MUCH bigger rolls than other places I've been and the two of us struggled to finish that much food. Bottled drinks were free, we were given soup for free, and we were offered free bananas and Burmese jell-o for dessert. This is definitely not a fancy place (folding chairs, plastic spoons, etc), but the service was great and the food was amazing. They also sell pre-made sushi to-go.
Awesome Food, Awesome, Owners, Awesome Prices!. If you want great sushi at an INCREDIBLE value, try Khin's. Everything is under $10 and you get a free drink with your food, plus tea. Everything is fresh and delicious. Their sushi rolls are huge! I also recommend trying their Burmese food; the pork is amazing. The owners, a husband and wife team, are some of the sweetest people I've met. They love what they do and they're wonderful at doing it.

Awesome Sushi at Amazing Prices. I stumbled in here for lunch the second day this place was open and was shocked, shocked I tell you, at how incredible it is. First off, everything is simple--folding chairs and tables--keeping the overhead low. I ordered a spicy tuna roll at $5.50 expecting something miniscule, what I got was a HUGE ten piece order with a FREE DRINK to boot. It was also served with a small cup of tea and also a small cup of soup. Guess what else? The roll was terrific.
I went back three more times in the next two weeks. I have sampled around and every thing I've tried has been fresh and fantastic. I also turned my raw fish eating pals on to the place and they have been equally awed.
It is run by a couple: Khin and a man I think is her husband named Tun. They are incredibly nice. Every time I'm in there they try to send me out with a piece of fruit or on one occasion I was given--oddly enough--a free candy bar. I am honestly just concerned that if they don't charge more they won't make the rent.
They have a big cooler full of carry out trays at similarly unbelievably low prices. The story is, Khin used to make the sushi trays for the local Kroger groceries. If you love sushi but balk at the prices, Khin's is the cure. I had never submitted a restaurant to URBANSPOON until this one. That's how bad I wanted to review it. I cannot recommend this place strongly enough.
The map on this site is a little off. Khin's is located in Carriage Gate Shopping Center which also includes Hobby Lobby, Ballard's, Gamestop and Bounce House, among others.
This is my favorite place! I go here more than I probably should lol but I absolutely love it. There's a wide selection and you get a lot for your money! You also get 2 free drinks if you pay with cash. The owners are super sweet and the food is usually ready very quickly but still fresh! I usually get the cream cheese salmon roll but I've tried multiple menu items and they're all delicious.

We tried several types of sushi and they all were delicious. The egg rolls were very good as well. It isn’t the perfect dining environment-more like a store, but great prices and service!
UPDATE: 3/5/22 I wish they would stop using styrofoam! Plastic is just as good and doesn't last forever!
I got an avocado and eel roll with no cucumbers I don't know what the sauce was but it was pretty good. This place is No Frill just Sushi and Maki. He said they do have a deep-fried roll that's not on the menu. I look forward to trying that 😉 also there's a little surprise when you pay cash 🤑
Wow! This food is amazing. I have to say that I'm not a huge sushi person but was craving something different than normal fast food. I called and ordered my food and it was ready very quickly. Way faster than sitting in a McDonald's drive thru. The staff was very friendly even though my knowledge of sushi isn't the best and I'm sure I didn't call the sushi by the correct names. The food here is absolutely amazing 👏! I will definitely be back! Here's a picture of the food after I accidentally picked the box up sideways. Very large portions and a wide variety of drinks! Thank you for bringing great food to our town!

I’ve been getting sushi from this place for the last four years and Nearly every time I’m 100% satisfied with my experience. The restaurant is clean, the people that work there are super friendly, there is a great variety of drinks, and the food is amazing! At times it does get busy and you do occasionally have to wait a bit but other than that. It’s a overall great experience. The California roll, small crab roll, spicy shrimp roll and pork dumplings are my favorites. I 100% recommend getting sushi from here!

They are a small business but very busy. Which is a good thing, it means they do something right. My orders are always amazing. Made to order and that makes my heart happy because it's always fresh.
They multi-task between taking orders and phone orders. So, be patient and know you're getting the best quality food. Sometimes there is a line, especially during lunch times.
Phone in if you have a time crunch and in a rush and be specific about what you want and then be patient, pull up and grab it.
Cash payments get free drinks, 2 for every $6.50 and they have a nice selection of drinks.
Make sure you tip them!!!!
Perfect spot in Richmond to get to enjoy sushi without emptying your bank account. The owners are friendly and wonderful people. I go here at least once per week and will continue to do so! I highly recommend!
