John Dale is great. The food is great and the atmosphere is great. Went to Wink’s after being invited by some friends, and have to say it is one of the best places I’ve been. Highly recommend Wink’s. Nothing flashy, nothing big, but huge on good food and good times.
A laid-back little (and I do mean little) place for a great sandwich and a cold beer. My bacon bleu was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time, and my wife's excellent black bean burger was made in house, not via food service. Prices are more than fair, and John Dale's mustard is killer. I'll be back!
This is definitely the place to go. The burgers are amazing and really all the food is awesome, but did I mention the burgers! Just a small diner atmosphere with top quality food.

Thought I would never leave a review because I am not one for reviews. But Winks is a special place. It's a place where the cans are cold and the food touches the soul. And it's all owned by a great man with many hilarious stories to tell. Hats of to John Dale and that wonderful tin shack full of stickers and dreams.
Winks is perfect. John Dale is the kindest business owner you'll ever meet and he genuinely seems to care for his patrons. The food is fantastic and always changing, but he keeps a couple of staples on the menu each night.
It may be small, but the atmosphere is so great, you won't want to end up anywhere else. <3

Wink's is one of the main reasons why I love Richmond. EXCELLENT food, great energy and you just walk in and feel like you're home. We have become regulars at Wink's and I'm always happy to see the same faces (and new as well), grab some grub and chat with John Dale, the owner. It has a very unique, buzzing ambiance and it's easy to feel comfortable there.
I know I've mentioned the great vibe, but the show stealer has to be the food. One of my favorites is the vegetarian friendly black bean burger with an egg on top. I also absolutely love a classic cheeseburger with bacon and egg on top. They're served with Lays chips or Grippos.
Honestly, Wink's has the best burgers in the city. The prices are suprub and the quality is top notch. Also, they serve a house made mustard that is out of this world.

Go for the food, stay for the experience. John Dale is the super friendly chef and sole proprietor of this gem. Sit at the bar if you can, soak it in, talk to JD if you want - about anything, he's sure to interest you.
No frills, honest hamburger and can of beer hole in the wall. A true bar and grill as that’s about all is inside the place. Come early if you want a seat. Highly recommended.
Hands down the greatest small dining in Richmond, Kentucky! I could leave a lengthy review but it’s as simple as that - the food, drinks, service, and atmosphere are as good as it gets, an all around local favorite and must try!
