Update February 2023: What a successful transition with excellent Manager Christina and right by her side is Baker Emily. They’ve just created a brand new recipe for the cinnamon rolls. Freshly baked and bigger. Very glad to see the specialty Italian cookies so well made still. And the Scialo’s Italian bread is still the best in the United States. ------- Update July 2021: Jen, the tremendous manager of the bakery is leaving after almost 31 amazing years with the two Scialo's bakery locations, Seekonk and Riverside (with 17 years in the Riverside location since its opening). The new manager, Christina, will be taking the helm with big shoes to fill. Looking forward to seeing the bakery maintain its current level of success. Great recent purchase for a morning breakfast meeting with the raisin bran muffins, coffeecake muffins, and jelly doughnuts. ------- Overall, so lucky to shop in this bakery! Outstanding Italian bread and rolls! Good cake, cookies, and pizza strips. Jen the manager is a precious soul who strives every day to be genuine to her staff and customers. I recommend being intentional during ordering. For example, sometimes items are undercooked. Was there this week and cinnamon buns were absolutely perfect. But last week, found them to be undercooked with white-ish dough. Same can happen with the pizza strip dough, Eccles cakes or streusel phyllo dough along the bottom is not thoroughly cooked. I imagine there can be a rush in the early morning hours to get things out of the oven and into the cases. But why not spend a few more minutes to get the item baked right? Having said this, here is a photo from a really great day at this bakery—Items worthy of display.

The best Russian tea cakes I've ever had...so moist, colorful and full of rum flavor. Sandwich rolls are tasty and fresh, delicious calzones - many types! Their dough is fantastic for making pizza at home ... Rises nicely, light, flavorful and gets crispy on the bottom of the pan without drying through.

Hands down the BEST sauce pizza in the area! And can always count on them for a simple affordable custom cake if needed and delicious Italian style classic cookies 🍪 😋 Scialo's does not disappoint when it comes to local pastries and baked goods!

Great location to pick things up quickly. Have both sweet (cupcakes, cookies, danishes, muffins, full cakes and cake slices etc.) and savory goods (bakery pizza, assorted calzones) in addition to fresh baked bread and rolls. We have made many orders for party pizzas over the years. Some of my favorite items are the eggplant and cheese calzone, lemon filled cupcake, and egg biscuits. Small cooler with soda and water in addition to hot coffee you can order. Reasonable prices and very friendly staff! I just wish I could leave tips on purchases I make with a credit/debit card.

This wonderful bakery made my daughters graduation cake it was so good and fresh. We didn’t have any leftover cake everyone enjoyed it. Will order all my cakes here. Also their donuts are so good. Love this bakery

Stopped here really quickly while in town for a wedding for a quick sweet. Everything was good, they even have pizza slices (not really NY pizza slices but like square cut smaller slices...the sauce was really flavorful). I got a chicken parm calzone which was like a chicken roll and it was filling. The cannoli was a little disappointing, the creme was a little light and thin. Also, the cookie wasn’t crunchy it was very soft. Anything fruit related was really good, strawberry shortcake, strawberry rhubarb, and lemon square.

We are so fortunate to have this really great bakery in Riverside. The bread and rolls are super fresh and not too salty. Party pizza is great. Speciality item is Sfogliatelle “svwee-a-del” for non Italo-Americans. Pies are delicious! A lot of pastries come in regular AND small sizes! Service is professional but very friendly. It’s really all great! Don’t miss this place!
