First time at China Gourmet and it was delicious. Don't really like sit down chinese food but I have to say that this was awesome. Will definitely go there again.
They have the very best crab rangoons.
Great food and service! We've been regulars for a few years now and everything on the menu is fantastic! Awesome egg rolls, crab rangoons, fried dumplings, Thai wings, Thai shrimp noodles, Dragon & Phoenix, and sushi rolls are just a few of our favorites. It's nice to see that many others agree that China Gourmet is an East Bay hidden gem.
This place is AWESOME! Great food and drinks, friendly staff and a great value. You have to try it!

Food is always great. I stop by when ever I work in the area. Best Chinese in New England and I eat Chinese alott.
Best general tso shrimp. Shrimp are a great size, great sauce. Scorpion bowl are great too

Travellers, China gourmet is a delicious take out. It doesn’t appear to be much from the outside but the food is quite yummy. The restaurant is clean and organized and the service is with a smile. Very nice and accommodating. The soups are top notch. We recommend the chicken and rice. It was delicious as is the hot and sour. The shining star of the day was the sechuan dumplings in spicy peanut sauce. They are fantastic. Spicy but not too much. Saucy and delicate. They do not disappoint. Check it out. We recommend.
TLDR - great Asian cuisine at takeout prices
The food was great and the portions were way more than expected. Fast service and friendly. The shrimp were huge!

Delicious food that is always freshly prepared. I'd like to acknowledge a particularly outstanding employee, Mandy, who was tonight's delivery driver. She had the courtesy to text me while on route to give me an estimated ETA. She actually arrived early. And the food was piping hot. Not only that, but she was extremely cordial and struck up a pleasant conversation with me about my lawn sign. It's evident that she takes her work seriously and she is committed to achieving a standard of excellence. China Gourmet is lucky to have her represent them.
Really solid egg rolls and crab rangoons
The place is very cosy, it does require an update, but the setting is open/great. The food was amazing, my orders were miso soup... And this amazing dish with chicken chili and season. Very delicious and tasty. See picture to be wowed.
Some of the freshest ingredients we've had at a Chinese restaurant ever. Always consistently excellent quality. Raymond is the best so friendly and pleasant.

Recently tried the combination platter, orange chicken with shrimp fried rice and an egg roll. Unbelievable. Umami taste with generous portion sizes. Rice came with vegetables and 2 fortune cookies. Felt nice to support someplace local

Delicious food that doesn't make me feel sick after like the heavy greasy kind can do sometimes. They have so many options, and from what I've had so far, all of them are delicious. They're quick and professional.
I love Chinese food. This is one I would return to. The selection is great! Update. 4 years later we are still customer's and the food is still excellent!!!
I'm being completely honest with this review. I have found a need to double check my take out orders at this restaurant. At first I discovered minor errors with my take out orders, nothing serious but for example a missing item or the wrong type of rice. It hasn't happened in months so maybe it was just a temporary situation. With that said, China Gourmet has by far the best food, I love this place. Their prices are just a little above average but well worth it. You get what you pay for and as far as we are concerned it's well worth it. The distance from my home takes me 25 minutes round trip, but China Gourmet is my first and only choice for Chinese food. I always get Chicken Chow mein combo and my wife gets Orange Chicken combo. Both are excellent and we keep going back for more. We are so happy that we found them 6 months ago. Well done and keep up the good work. Thank you!!
Billy does a great job with customer service, food, and extra touches. Always fresh ingredients. Sorry to see him leave Willett Pond area and stop dine-in and bar service, but great luck to Billy in his new location across from the Carousel. 🥡🥢🥠
