Me and my mother were out doing some family bonding (watching her go shopping and helping her move). We decided to go have lunch and were headed to Heart 8 BBQ unitl my mother saw the sign to Bayou Jack's Cajun Grill. This was my first time dinning at this establishment.
As we entered the door, it was a little slow, but were seated immediately. I told my mother that i hope this place does not disappoint at all, because i was really hungry and i am kind of picky on what i eat. This place right here is AAA+ in my book and in my opinion is the best place to repeat. This guy right here is one very happy patron.
The waitress who served us was very professional and did not try to push us to order anything we did not want. So the waitress asked what we wanted, so we ordered the red pepper crawfish bisk, the gator nuggets, and the huge plate of brisket nachos w/pickled jalapenos, the 8oz steak with sides, and the shrimp and catfish plate.
We ordered food that is easy to make and serve, and if it was cooked incorrectly and served cold you would know it. This place by far blew out my taste buds after eating the nachos, the bisk, and gator nuggets.
The food portion were phenomenal and i can tell you right now i have found a new place to eat permanently. �����������������. The waitress that served us got a huge tip from the both of us. Hats off to Bayou Jack's Cajun Grill for the food and excellent customer service.
Now i have read all of the reviews before mine, which include all of the negative reviews. All i can say is the people who work in the food service industry catch a lot of flake from self-entitled people. Do not trust everyones review you read and make your own decisions. I truly enjoyed my experience to it fullest and will be returning.
Awesome food and service, we went there 2 nights straight, the Poboys are delicious, fries and hush puppies are to die for. Also I think the dirty balls is the best thing ever. The blackened gator nuggets were also delicious. The whole family loved it and I don't think it is possible to order something that is not good. I highly recommend this place and will be coming back every chance we get. Thank you
What a great place to go to have a great dinner AND great service! I am in the food industry and own a food truck, I have been several times and always good service and good food. Thanks Sara or Sarah (sorry on spelling) and Darren the manager was supper cool and nice checking on us. I highly recommend going to this place, I been many times and will be back!! Thanks again and keep up the good work!
We are from Pennsylvania and travel to Roanoke 4 times a year, we love this place we were there last night, and as always food and drink perfection! My husbands very fussing he has Blacken Catfish platter.
, I had the Zydeco Catfish dinner my fav, and we hit New Orleans, this food is top notch! We will be here till May 20 and we will be back 1x a week for sure!!
The food was amazing! Our server was great and offered food options with details to help us order because it was our first time. He’s suggestions were fabulous! Shrimp & grits plate was my favorite ❤️
Love the catfish and crawfish civiche! Always consistent on flavor. I eat here pretty much every other payday during lunch. Great stuff!
My husband and I were driving around looking at possible areas to move. We ran across Bayou Jacks. Being from south Louisiana, the true test of a Cajun grill is the oyster POboys and the gumbo. Both werelegit! Highly recommend. Will be back!
The whole family loves Bayou Jack's Cajun Grill, we have never had bad service and the food has always been good!! It's our favorite place to go and eat!!
We enjoyed lunch today, our first visit & we'll definitely be back. 4yo had mini corndogs, Dad had a fried oyster po'boy, I had seafood enchiladas with fried pickles to start. All very delicious! Staff also handled our food allergies well. Service was great & the ambience was fun too.

Loved the food. Went for lunch and had grilled shrimp and blackened catfish.
Pretty delicious food and drinks! We got the “Big Easy” Shrimp Pasta & Mississippi Catfish (the collard greens were absolutely amazing). Both were delicious, as well as The Purple Drink (cocktail). A bit pricey but lots of options and all looked and sound delish! Would love to come back and definitely recommend.
Went there for a birthday. They accommodate big groups. Started with the Dirty Balls which were great, and the fried okra. Typical with all seafood, it is on the pricier side. Ordered a pickle bloody mary, which was fine except they used a bread and butter pickle as the garnish - which was not great!!
Cozy place; Large flavors ! Mississippi catfish was my order today. Very tasty. Do try their Gumbo, Crawfish, Jambalaya, Fried Okra, Fish tacos, Bayou Catfish. Their side dipping sauces are exceptional.
Great Environment. The crawfish were perfectly seasoned. The oysters were so big that they had filled the entire shell.
Natchitoches Meat Pies were really good, so were gumbo and Oyster Poboy. Fish n chip is also highly recommended.
Forgot to take “before” pictures because the food was so goodb GREAT service (our waiter was GT like the Mustang 😂). Food took you back to the bayou - Jambalaya and Crawfish etouffee was amazing and very hearty. They definitely did not skimp on the meat, which was awesome.
Amazing food! So many great things on the menu! We would definitely go back.
