The catfish is delicious, best I ever had! Throughly enjoyed my meal. The French fries were fresh cut, coleslaw and hush puppies were tasty.

We came in with a group of 15+, lots of kiddos. Caitlin was our server and she was soooo nice and accommodating and by some miracle every order came out perfectly. Thanks all!

I stayed at Iron Horse and ate dinner here twice (April 2017). The staff is friendly, the food is great, and the prices are reasonable. I'll definitely eat here when I stay at Iron Horse, and I will also go out of my way to eat here if I'm anywhere in the area. I had the Philly Steak, by the way. As simple as it sounds, this was really something special.

Perfect little country diner. Simple menu with great tasting food at great prices. I had both the cheeseburger and the Reuben while staying at the hostel next door. Both very tasty and with perfectly done crinkle cut fries. I also had some dessert, which I rarely do, and had a fabulous piece of coconut creme pie. The place was clean and comfortable. I just wish they were open for breakfast because I'm sure it would be great. Definitely 2 👍

This is a diamond in the rough which is family owned and we highly recommend. The food is outstanding America country home cooking. It is so reasonably priced we didn't even ask about discount. The service was incredible and the most memorable experience of our entire trip was talking with Danny one of the owners. Fantastic story teller don't miss this experience. Many of the locals eat here regularly and they so pleasant to talk with we felt at home. I wish I lived near by cause I would eat here all the time.

I had dinner here tonight with six of my other friends while on our motorcycle trip. The waitress was very enthusiastic and took care of our every need. I just got a simple burger but it was delicious.

Lovely little diner for lunch or dinner (note breakfast is not served). Super cheerful and kind staff. Fried catfish is superb as are the other fried delights - light and crispy, not heavy. Desserts are all homemade, including pies and cookies. Coffee is fresh and hot throughout the day. Staff is super flexible for dietary restrictions. They can make modifications for allergies, gluten free, vegetarians, or even vegans. Parking is a gravel lot, but pretty level and large enough for the biggest motorhome / RV, even with toad connected. Verizon and Google Fi signals are strong at the diner so you can use it as a last stop to plan before heading into the Smokies as you'll lose signal shortly thereafter. (Don't forget to download your maps for offline use!)

Working in the area for several weeks and have eaten here twice. They take a card, but sometimes their machine is a bit slow, so may be best to prepare to pay with cash. The polish sausage really hit the spot! And their hamburger was good as well. Coworkers have gotten the chili cheeseburger and double cheeseburger and have had no complaints. As for the fried green tomatoes, I'm used to a bit more seasoning in my batter than what they use, so l it felt bland, but that may just be me. But! Every one has bragged on their fries also! And don't forget to get a homemade brownie when you leave:)

Undoubtedly a must stop! Some of the best fried food I’ve ever had! The fried catfish, okra and chicken tenders are heavenly. The dressings taste homemade and are out of this world! Great service and food what more could you ask for?!

Stopped here on way from dam. Had fried green tomatoes and fried mushrooms. Both great. Also chef salad which was crisp cold and good. My husband had BLT also good. Server pleasant and place all around friendly. Give it a try!

We live about 10 minutes or so away so Stecoah Diner makes a great choice for a quick and reasonably priced option. The fried green tomatoes are great, as are the mozzarella cheese sticks if you want an appetizer. The plates are of a good portion and flavorful. All the ground beef is fresh and hand patted, so you can't go wrong with that. Glad to have this restaurant close by.

Have dined there three evenings in a row. Enjoyed catfish the first night, followed by chicken tenders, and finally a double cheese burger this evening. A locally owned restaurant, right off the highway, has strong support from local residents its a great way to catch up on local news. You will find this an informal home style restaurant. I think the catfish was my favorite.

Good home cooking. Had the hamburger steak and tried the catfish both were delicious. The fries were made in house from whole potatoes. Looks to be the place where the locals eat.
