Amazing. The food is incredible. it is made by a man right out of Jamaica. the food is freshly cooked everyday. you don't even have to know about livies to know how good it is. the hospitality is great. overall, livies is your goto place for wonderful food.
Lovin'Livies. The food is awesome and the restaurant is clean and welcoming! The jerk chicken is great - I recommend getting a small side of extra jerk sauce to spice it up even more. The fried dumplings are also wonderful. I have had the Curried Shrimp several times too and have never been disappointed.
So Good!. This is the real deal, Jamaican food. I usually get the Ox Tails and Jerk Pork. They have a steam table with all the days selections. Entrees come with Yellow rice or rice and peas, Cabbage or Callilou and plantains. The food is so yummy. Ask for their homemade hot sauce. Livie is the big man cooking all the food and Michelle is usually working the counter. They are super friendly. The store also has some Jamaican grocery items.
First time customers and the experience was fantastic. We weren’t sure exactly what to order and they were so helpful and patient. Food was delicious but the service is what led me to giving 5 stars. We will be back! Dream big

The atmosphere is jovial and welcoming and the inside is painted a wonderfully energetic shade of yellow and with a mural of where the owner grew up in Jamaica.
11/10 definitely will return next time I'm in Rochester!
Very good fresh & homemade Jamaican food, nice staff, reasonable prices !! Livie greeted us kindly !! snapper was well done & clean fried Jamaican dumplings delicious & I’m pescatarian so the veggie Pattie was freshly made and very good ! Thank you 🇯🇲
The employees there were very nice and patient to my guests and I. We had 2 orders of Oxtail, yellow rice and cabbage. 1 Beef Patty and a side order of greens. So terrible that we couldn't leave another bite lol
I literally just left here with my small oxtail dinner, the staff was warm and friendly the portion size is good and the taste is amazing! I highly recommend this place! Thanks Livie's I will surely be back
This was my families first time having Jamaican food and we will most definitely be back. Everything from the food, to the service, to the music was amazing.

We decided to try this place out for lunch.. what a great decision that was! We ordered a little bit of everything and it was all amazing. The restaurant is family owned, well decorated, and EXTREMELY CLEAN!!! We will definitely be returning for another meal!

I've always enjoyed Livie's delicious Jamaican cuisine when it was in the 19th Ward, and I'm so glad her restaurant moved near me in Gates! Livie is a gracious hostess and I love her food!
