Had a plate here last night. 2nd one I’ve had from them and they are amazing. Very well done. My first and all time favorite was Marks, right across the street, but I feel they have slipped over the last few years as have other big names in the area. Great plates are becoming harder to find in rochester. Do yourself a favor and get one of these. I’ll be back.

Amazing family run spot. Never had a bad meal here. No sit down just to go but they use quality ingredients.
First time I went here i got the chicken Philly and was disappointed. Wasn't bad. But didn't rock my world.
But I'm giving it 5 star because I got the steak sub. And my World. Is. ROCKED MAN!!!
Despite what the menu says it's not a Philly cheesesteak. Breads not traditional Philly bread, no wiz, etc.
But with the option of either boss or country sweet (i chose boss), high quality ingredients, and care in making the sub with a good ratios and care, you will get a delicious "Rochester" cheese steak sub. The boss sauce puts it over the edge.

Best steak subs in town! You won’t be disappointed coming here. Portions a great a small size is more like a medium. Fast service and very great people here stop in and you won’t be disappointed.

I don't come here that often but every time I have the service has been fast, excellent and they easily have one of the best plates in Rochester. Kind of a best-kept-secret...never as crowded as many of the other places in the area.

Steak subs definitely one of the best in town. This is a gem in Rochester its a couple selling great food. Hrs do differ but trust me its definitely worth it.
I think we go here just about every week. Their chicken parm sub is so good and the portions are great. Highly recommend!
We had steak and philly chicken sandwiches. Both were delicious. Besides that we had a great customer service experience. We are definitely going back there.

This place has what I believe to be the best garbage plate in the South Wedge area and possibly Rochester! I ordered the classic cheeseburger plate with mac salad and home fries onions mustard and ketchup. You will first noticed the weight of the plate! Its hefty. If you have to walk home then you may want to use your strong arm. The plate is authentic in thats its the first plate that allows you to mix the beautiful and thick mac salad or have it separate from the meat and potatoes. The only form of segregation that ok in my book. Apart from the separate but very generous portions, you may also notice the alluring red hue of sludge over two thick juicy cheeseburgers. That would be its superiorly spicy meat sauce! I love the meat sauce here! Its got a kick that many hots locales lack. Its welcoming. The plentiful potatoes that are completely buried under the zesy madness are encapsulated and has managed to maintain a hot and CRISPY bite. With all of this they even manage to give you toasted bread that is unlike any other bread around. Dont skip on south wedge! Its a small place with great taste!
South Wedge Hots and Subs reminds me of those divey fish-n-chips spots from across the pond. You never think about them when you're retrieving your vehicle from the bar next door in daylight, but they're all you want when you're stumbling in the dark.
Nothing here is remarkable except for EVERYTHING after sharing a bottle of fireball with the neighborgood rat that everyone says puts out but, for some reason, just wants to cuddle. I don't remember asking how you like your eggs?!? Get out!
