I had the pork chop with beets and apples- best I've ever had. My husband had the Croque Madame sandwich with the over easy eggs on top of it- he thought it was outstanding and so did the lady a few people down from us. I usually enjoy wine or a good beer and not so much a cocktail person, but the bartenders are phenomenal and the drinks are interesting and so fun to choose from on such an extensive menu. I like that you even feel like you are experiencing a bit of history when they give you background on it or the year it became popular. My husband thinks the Vesper is the best drink. I don't usually like gin too much but the Garden Variety drink with the English cucumber garnishing was awesome. If you like coffee drinks the espresso one on the vodka menu is one of the best drinks I've ever had. The cheese plate is delicious but samples extremely small. This restaurant really tries to prepare foods you don't get everywhere (like pork belly- amazing) and then takes a simple concept like the pork chop and makes it the best ever. I was originally tentative about sitting at a table with strangers to dine, but you either mind your own business or can exchange opinions on the food or pleasantries. The music can be a tad loud if sitting near the speaker and the air conditioning a little high so I always bring a cardigan or jacket. The lighting is romantic. It's a real hidden gem in Rockford. The service is very good and knowledgeable but a little slow for a second drink when we were there on popular sandwich night (Thursdays I believe). Prices are great for what you are getting- amazing food for date night or a night with friends. I've never seen kids in there and wouldn't bring mine. My favorite restaurant!

Holy cow, my experience was spectacular. The dining and staff were intimate, friendly, knowledgeable, adventurous, and dedicated to their crafts. I had a Blackbird absinthe cocktail that the bartenders whipped up per a "make me an unusual absinthe cocktail" request which was delightful, the beef tongue dish was savory and tender, and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a step above the usual in Rockford. 10/10 would recommend.

Absolutely one of the best meals ever. I had the hangar steak and Marc had the pork chop. Sooooo impressed as well with the bar staff who were as well versed with the menu as well as the intricate bar specialties. Fun people! We will be back!

We enjoyed our anniversary dinner last night at Social.. a referral from a friend - and needless to say, it didn’t disappoint! We enjoyed craft beer, the Brussel Sprouts, Hot Chicken and the Curry Shrimp Roll. We loved the atmosphere, friendly staff and superb presentation - the chef is very gifted!!

Great, great place! Absolutely delicious food, wonderful atmosphere, very unique concept in the presentation of the dishes by the chefs and the use of local, in season, food. Love that they patronize other local businesses! Highly recommend!

It's always an amazing experience. Food is amazing, drinks are unique and spectacular (try the Expresso Cocktail or Unicorn Tears for a truly unique drink). Their menu is constantly updating with local and seasonal ingredients so it's a new adventure every time we go. Best place in town.

I need the recipe for the Hot Chicken, otherwise you're going to need to start shipping or open a place in my city 8 hours away. One of the the best meals I've ever had.
