So I won a brunch and today and I am glad I stopped by with friends to try out the bacon and have a great brunch. We thought the Full Irish Breakfast was a big option but since we were hungry....we couldn't resist. The food came it looked wonderful and the bacon was sooooooo good. A little sweet, thick and meaty. Delicious. Thank you for choosing me today. I never had a bigger, better, breakfast or a pork chop that was that good. I always have ordered fresh fish and other things at the Irish rose. Truly impressed by your wonderful food. I have, like always left feeling full, satisfied, and very happy. Thanks, again. I will tell everyone about that bacon.

Decided to go on an adventure yesterday, ended up in Rockford at the japanese gardens then stopped at this little gem on the way back home! As soon as we stepped in I knew I was going to love it. The building is old with modern accents, right up my ally, and the staff was super friendly! My waitress was genuinely kind and funny and being an ex-waitress I know you can't teach that kind of service so kudos to Irish Rose. My drinks were great and the food was even better. I will definately take the hour trip again just to come here. Till we meet again!
Breakfast was amazing, Irish Coffee topped it off & the service was wonderful! It is a must on the list of top places to be in Rockford
We all had the delicious crimini pasta with chicken - perfectly prepared. I love the variety, and freshness, of offerings - especially of fish. They do seem to run out of bread on a regular basis, however. And it would be nice to include a small side salad with the dinners to offset the richness.
The Rose is one of the few places in town where you can order a late dinner.

My husband and I just got married yesterday. The Irish Rose is where we had our first date, and so this place is amazingly special to us.
We decided to make The Irish Rose the place for our wedding reception dinner. Yasmin was so helpful in helping to set everything up, professionally kept close contact with us to make sure things went smoothly.
The wait staff had never done a wedding their before and they nailed it. It was busy...we probably had close to 50 people and they were so patient and very very nice. They helped move things around for first dances, and they even cut and helped serve the cake. And afterword touched base with us to make sure we were happy with how the night went.
All I can say is I LOVE The Irish Rose.

The Irish Rose is one of my favorite restaurants in Rockford. Wonderful ambiance. Delicious food made from scratch with vegetarian selections. Good drink specials. And beautiful servers that have always been quite attentive. Highly recommended for a first date because there are no TVs to distract you.
This was very good. I enjoyed my free meal for two with my fiance & daughter. I had the salmon & it was cooked perfectly. Too bad u were sold out of bacon im sure its good. Definitely will be trying taco Tuesday.
The food was excellent and our service was fantastic! It did take a while to get the food, but everything was made fresh. That being said: this may not be the place to take your kids. The service was SO accommodating and kind, so my two-year-old picky eater actually ate (!!!). But the wait was long enough that I had to take her outside to walk around so that she didn’t become a menace. I will definitely be returning; just minus the toddler.

I absolutely love this place, I found it on Google and we were in Rockford from out of town. I'm so glad we went here. First off the waitstaff was so friendly and welcoming. The food..omg the food was so fresh and tasted amazing. Everything is homemade and you can tell they take great pride in that,, I can't wait to take my dad. The owner came to our table and had a conversation with, what a sweet man. I would give it 10 stars. I also had a Bloody Mary Yum!!!
I will say it was extremely busy, but it was a Friday night. The drinks took a hair longer than I would have anticipated but they were worth the wait. The food came out pretty quick for how many tables there were and it was hot and really, really good. Will be going back for sure.
This is a very nice nostalgic place to eat. The burgers are phenomenal and done just right. Highly recommend!
Everything was delicious! We had steaks and they were so good they melted in our mouths. Even the soup was homemade! Great selection of beer too.

Decided to try something new for my birthday dinner. It's late, but the site shows they are open till 1130, so figured no problem. Check the website for hours.. all says open till 1130.
Drive all the way over for bday dinner.. walk in the door and abruptly told their kitchen just closed at 10.
Nowhere on the website nor on Google does it indicate different hours.
Suggestion: update in all locations (especially your website) what your hours of operation are.
Always has been and always will be my favorite restaurant in town! I love being able to count on a healthy and fresh meal from the Rose, but the best part is the atmosphere- Hang around a while and you'll get to know the regulars who are like family!
We always love going here! Their seafood has always tasted fresh. And their special salad dressing is phenomenal!! And their chocolate mouse just melts in your mouth!!
