Down Home Bar, Big City Burger. Pete, the owner, is one helluva nice guy, and his bar is one of those places where the bikers can sit next to the cowboys, talking to the hippies. The beer is cold, the cocktails well made, but the burgers hit the spot. Under $10 for the entree, with an option of fries, fresh made potato chips or tater tots a couple of Cokes AND a tip is fully affordable. Talk about a gourmet burger? On point, nicely cooked, and FULL of taste.
No doubt that the exterior might turn away the over 50 polo shirt set or the SoccerMom on a girls night out, but let's face it....hole-in-the-walls have cornered the market in best kept secrets!
I'm headed back next week for a round of golf at he Casino, and I'm looking foward to trying out the Steak and Prawns!!!!
What's in a name?. Everything you need. Excellent dive bar food - check. Tons o' pull tabs - check. Friendly tat'd waitstaff, cheap booze and clientele who are way too eager to tell you something personal about themselves - check check check.
I had the Bleu Burger and it was a huge, messy, flavorful conquest that nearly took me down. Wife had the Kona burger and was also impressed. No fries on the side, you get your choice of tater tots (who does that?) onion rings (no brainer) or what sounded to be fresh made potato chips. Friend had the Chef Salad and it looked awesome.
Of course there were cool motorcycles out front, but the best part was the $80,000 Porche. I love it when life surprises you.
Ordered delivery, and was surprised at quality of food upon arrival.
Normally, most foods, let alone salads, go south during transport.
Not here. My two salads, with condiments, dressings and additional proteins, all arrived pristine.
There are many different variations of burgers to try - I went with a brisket sub with au jus dip, cheese sauce and a side of garlic fries. The food was delicious. We also tried a huckleberry drink which needed to be sweeter and various desserts such as - The potato (ice cream rolled in cocoa powder served atop fudge w/whipped cream) and the creme brulee. Both were good but not anything I would recommend. Go for the food and try it out. Atmosphere outside and service was great.
Got take out/curb side pick up since the restrictions have come back. Food is still amazing and packed well. The food was also ready in less than 30 min. Will definitely order from here again.
Good place for take out. Unlike some, the food is still hot and really good when we get it home!
Awesome establishment! Great food, all well prepared and presented with care.
Very professional and yet relaxed vibe that provides appeal for all ages and situation. The service is impeccable, very friendly staff that holds high regard for their customers and the final product.
If you have not had the chance to go, I would highly recommend checking out.
It's a bit of a wait for the food because they aren't fast food and they cook everything fresh, but they have items I haven't seen anywhere else yet. I recommend this restaurant if you want something a little different than the usual bar and grill offer.
