Saw this place on Google Maps when we were heading up to Rockport to spend time at Halibut State Park. Service to get the food was very quick, and the value of the seafood was fantastic. The clam strip roll was good, but their cocktail sauce was out of this world! We also ordered the crab roll which I thought were delicious with the toasted buttered bun. Fries were great as well!

My wife and I went to The Lobster Pool for her to have lobster on the eastern coast. We also went here because they had non-seafood options for me on the menu and were dog friendly for the outdoor seating. My wife absolutely loved the lobster and we ended up also getting the lobster roll to have a filling meal for lunch. It rained for the roll, so she ate that inside. No pets inside, only outside. There are two restrooms on the side.

If in Rockport, you've got to eat here. Where better to have fresh seafood than facing the calm waters. The place is BYOB and their menu is simple but delicious! We ordered the following: - Steamer (large clams) - Fried scallops - Fried belly clams With a pack of 4 ciders we had an awesome meal. If I could bring Lobster Pool back to Toronto I would, but again, I don't mind coming back to Rockport for a lovely seafood filled weekend.

Excellent lobster & crab rolls! You must try the fried shrimp, it was so good! It's not fine dining by all means, but the view is beautiful!

Sweet and tasty lobster and gorgeous views at the Lobster Pool! Pictured: 1.5 lb lobster dinner and "fish bites" plate with haddock and clams. Fries came with both but were just ok. Overall, awesome vibe!

When visiting Rockport, we always make sure to stop by. Sometimes we eat here multiple times! We have never had a bad experience. We love the food, the view and the staff. Make sure to bring your beverage of choice - BYOB. A bottle of wine, a local beer or cider pairs perfectly with every dish. My favorite pick is the lobster pie, my husband’s is the lobster roll. We also have to get the lobster bisque.

If you are looking for some fresh seafood, this is the place to go! The fried haddock was delicious. The views from the dining area out back were amazing. Not a budget friendly place if you are not wanting to spend a lot.

Lovely little restaurant by the water and close to the state park. We got clam chowder and a lobster roll. I'd highly recommend the lobster roll but less so the clam chowder.

I had the lobster bake. It was small for the price in my opinion. This place is all about the atmosphere for me.

Stopped to get a lobster roll. The place is as advertised, very basic! In good weather the location is awesome. They have outside tables with an amazing view! The day I was here was cold! It had a gas log stove inside, but was really chilly inside. Don't think they have any other heat! The lobster roll was very generous, lots of nice chunks. Served with French fries right out of the fryer, so nice and hot. A bit too much mayo for my taste on the lobster, but the lobster tasted good. $28 for the lobster roll today.

Nice fresh lobster and seafood. Very friendly staff with a nice view from the outside seating. The haddock was so flaky, the lobster is so juicy. The batter is on point, not too thick. And the lobster bisque is very tasty too

I was in the mood for some delicious fried seafood and found it here. If you're looking for a laid-back atmosphere with a beautiful ocean view, get here as soon as you can.

We found this delightful sea food shack, The Lobster Pool, on the scenic ocean drive around Rockport, Massachusetts just before you head into Gloucester, Massachusetts, 36 years ago. Today we found it again, the original shack unchanged. Talk about excitement, we quickly pulled and parked for lunch. We had bowls of New England (white) clam chowder and 2 diet drinks in paper cups from a dispenser. The chowder was delicious. 36 years ago we had lobster rolls (New England Style) on hot dog buns and mayo. We plan to lunch their again tomorrow on lobster rolls. They have a large tank of fresh live lobsters. Freshly dug live clams clams, are trucked in from clam beds in Ipswich, Massachusetts. Their seafood is ALL fresh from the ocean and clam beds. Great seafood, well prepared, in a casual dining experience. Wow!
